Whats funny is that Konys army havent even really been active for over 6 years. It was a video made by morons, to get other morons to rage against something that hasnt really been an issue for years.

This shows how little connection there is between the "champions" and those they claim to represent.

It`s a money-grab, also political fodder for US intervention. Propoganda plain as day.

I hope those IABers who sent them money will demand it back, and spend some effort to find a REAL charity, like Mennonite Central Committee

It probably will help. I think that Americans are so stupid as to wear a shirt with a picture of a war criminal on it. People wear shirts with Che on it, we celebrate Columbus day and we cheer fanatically for cars driving in circles. Our culture is so upside down that it probably wouldn`t make sense to people who are half a world away and use buckets to gather muddy water out of a hole in the ground.

Perhaps it`s because we all know deep down it`s wrong and immoral, and that we should be ashamed of it.

Gee where was this sentiment in the lead up to the Iraq war?

Maybe if these ungrateful pieces of feces helped themselves, the rest of the world wouldn`t have too.

The video was meant to have an impact on western audiences and to get us to participate in their vision of how to bring Kony to justice. It wasnt tailored to the victims of Mr. Kony nor to provide closure or show all the horrors that happened to the Ugandan people.
If you dont like some of the methods they are using to raise awareness and ultimately to get Kony in a courtroom, then dont donate, but to dismiss it as a ploy to make money or saying Kony hasnt been a bad boy in a few years so we should let it go is misguided.

Robo, you are by far the dumbest poster on here. Research your history on why Africa is the way it is. Key words: Colonisation of Africa

    Read a book. Damn.

Imna, for every dollar you spend I believe only 30 cents goes to help find Kony. The other 70 cents? Well, it`s so they can make such emotional videos like this of course. Donate and make them rich in an area where Kony hasn`t been a problem in years. That;s absolutely ridiculous. If they`re going to ask for my money, I want it ALL going towards the cause and for the right reasons.

This entire KONY fad is bullpoo. He`s NOT IN UGANDA!

What makes me wonder if Al Jazeera will be the only one showing this footage?

US media to give it a pass (or show and forget?)

we have different cultures and different ways to reach those audiences. I lived and worked in East Africa and the way that we raised money locally as opposed to abroad was always based on the place we were looking for donations from.

if this video was made or any video made for the African market it would be must different. but because it was made to mostly inform and mobilize white people that have little to no understanding of Africa or Kony, it had to have things in it that were very familiar to them.

    ugh.. this debate is pointless.
    1. if you don`t trust the "charity" portion, don`t donate
    2. How can raising awareness be a problem?
    3. where Kony is shouldn`t be an issue in regards to the "movement", if they knew where he was we wouldn`t be having the debate... the group is in coalition with the Ugandan army so it only makes sense to start there right?

While the guy is a warlord and needs to brought to justice, I`ve been reading its just propaganda. They have resources, U.S. wants them. China`s become a huge player over in Africa and our government doesn`t really like competition.

Awareness is drating stupid if it`s filled with misinformation and omits historical facts.
