For someone who doesn"t care for gay people, Kick Cameron sure has a lot to say about them.

He`s welcome to his opinion, but actors should keep them to themselves. Just because someone is a twink icon doesn`t mean anyone cares what he thinks.

Well... since Piers Morgan and Kirk Cameron are both full of sh*t, I see no reason to watch this...

He is doing whatever it takes to stay in the spotlight. Give it up Kirk, your fame is long gone. Take your closed-minded bullpoo to Texas. They`ll eat it up down there.

In simple terms: Telling a blind man that colours exist = no gain; Converting someone in the cruisade = browny points.

That`s not an argument for the flaws of my reply. That`s a change of an argument to further prove a point (isn`t that what they do with the bible?). I will indulge in this. Many people can`t taste, but we can use sight for dramatics. Even if I`ve never seen colours, I would still believe that it exists because it has been proven and REPRODUCED by people who have objective intent. Faith in god is still a subjective representation of a feeling that you possess and is based in reward at the end. Not proof and actually far from the message religion preaches. Would it make me crazy to try and make you believe that unicorns are real if I really believed in them? Would it make me a sociopath to say they were real for my personal gain? Either way, other than what man thinks, there is no indication that He`s there.

Spaztazoid ok i Will take this analogy a little further since i see a few flaws you have pointed out. I will compare the salt itself to a religion. because religions are real thing and can be seen by anyone. now the taste of salt that will represent god. since I have never tasted salt I do not think it has a flavor. I think it is completely tasteless and unless you can perfectly describe the taste i will not admit it has one.

Salt and sugar do not have the same texture when really felt, look different upon close examination, and do not hold the same physical properties (e.g. melting points). Their differences are examinable and reproducible. There is quantifiable evidence that there is a difference. God(s) on the other hand does not. How do I know if your god is better than "his" god. What you are describing is your subjected view on a feeling. I am not dismissing the potential benefits on believing in a god (potential placebo), just stating that He is not fact.

Spaztazoid no you must have felt sugar or some other mineral with the appearance of salt. I have never tasted it and unless you describe to me the taste I don`t believe it is real.

swoop408 you can`t use salty to describe salt to somebody who has never tasted salt before. I don`t know what "salty" is. you ask me to buy some fries but why should I when I know salt does not exist. That is like If i were to ask you to read the new testament and pray about it to know if god exists. You are not going to do it because you don`t think there is a point because you don`t think there is a god.

I don`t have to taste salt to know it exists, as I have seen it and felt it. Unicorns on the other hand...

As some of you may have guessed, I am a homo.
I think this is totally okay. He was not hatefull or offensive. Yes, I disagree with him, but he`s entitled to his opinion and he gave it in disenting yet respectful manner.

Now string the basturd up by his balls and torch him! {kidding}

When I first heard about this, it was portrayed as though he had openly attacked gay marriage and homosexuality and I was furious. Now that I actually watch it though, I can`t fault him for answering calmly and truthfully, especially because Piers was a bit of an ass in pushing the question.

Not only was this a well measured response, it`s been a pretty tame and reasonable forum response here on I-A-B. Is civility on the rise? Dogs and cats living in harmony? What is going on here!? Anyways, Gerry and Pink Rhoid pretty much nailed it.

Although I strongly disagree with Kirk, I respect his position in this interview because he didn`t try to preach to the world about it. He just said that this is how he would talk to his kid about it.
Now if he had used this forum to preach to the world about it, then I`d have a problem with it.

For someone who hasn`t had an acting career in 30 years, Cameron gets a lot of air time. Of course if he stopped saying stupid things, that would evaporate too.

Whatever pays the mortgage, I guess...

I have to agree, he is a bigot, an idiot, and a liar, but he handles this interview well.

@swoop408 Asking to prove religion without faith is ridiculous, but through faith one can receive a confirmation that there is a god. here is something to think about. lets say i have never tasted salt before and therefore I don`t think it exists. Now you yourself have had it on many occasions. so All I ask of you is to describe the taste of salt to me so i can know exactly what it tastes like without actually having some. If you can do this will believe there is such a thing as "salt" otherwise you are " a fool who would rather hold onto some ridiculous idea rather than admit you were indoctrinated and led astray."

ok kirk...let`s expand on your logic for a moment shall well?

Just because you feel STRAIGHT then, doesn`t mean you should act on it because hey, according to your logic you cannot trust how you feel at the deepest core of your being.

really, this is just another washed up actor with backwards views that does not understand that the concept of marriage predates Christianity.

@aRTCy, Prove to me God is real and don`t just say "faith". If you can`t, then we have nothing to talk about and you are a fool who would rather hold onto some ridiculous idea rather than admit you were indoctrinated and led astray.

And btw, apologize to Pagans please. You guys stole everything from them.

I think the fact that he is pushing questions trying to get these responses to scoff at is just as offensive as if Kirk had come on the show trying to push his beliefs uninvited.

As a Christian the only valid answer is that in the end it isn`t for them to judge. That is for God alone. Everyone teaches their own beliefs to their kids and it is silly to imply Christians should set their beliefs aside when it comes to teaching their kids. At the same time it falls on them to love their kids no matter their sins and to not judge them.
As for the term or Institute of marriage, gays doing it doesn`t hurt it for the simple fact that in the eyes of god it isn`t valid. If it isn`t valid then they are doing little more than pretending for their own satisfaction and it bears no weight on "real" marriage. Of course this is just on way to interpret the bible and its teachings and there is certainly no shortage on ways to spin the same story so to each their own.

@aRTCy, did you create an account solely to respond to this post? Also, by your logic, any christian who believes that homosexuality is A-Ok is calling me, err... god a fool?

"And if you think we are fools then your just calling God a fool."
Okay, I`m calling your invisible friend a fool. And? (in reality, I`m calling the humans who wrote the bible fools though :3)

"And if you don`t believe in God well then we have nothing to talk about then."
So, you shouldn`t have a say in whether or not gay marriage is legal, right? Since we have nothing to talk about, I`m sure you aren`t about to impose your beliefs on everyone who doesn`t believe the same as you ^-^

Defined with Adam and Eve....
Then redefined to include many more wives...
Then redefined again to 1 man 1 woman but the woman is sold as property.
Then redefined again to include a womans choice.
Now redefined again, but still 1 on 1.

As christians we believe marriage between a man and woman is sacred. Just as a person`s race is sacred. My question is how can you keep one thing sacred and not the other? Homosexuality is a sin just like any other. That just makes us all sinners. The real tragedy here is denying that it`s sin and saying it`s ok. And the only reason we consider it sin is because God mentions it in the Bible. Read Romans 1, read about Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis. He talks about how it`s unnatural. And if you think we are fools then your just calling God a fool. And if you don`t believe in God well then we have nothing to talk about then.
