@tatripp: I disagree. He`s not a good politician. He`s a good statesmen. They are far fewer and far less electable.

The issue with any politics is that is setup that only certain people can run for it. It should be that anyone from that country should be able to run, but they can`t, they are not allowed.

What`s wrong with America is that this man and people like him who actually want to do good for our country will never get elected due to the horrible election system currently used.

"It`s a game that they`re playing."
and he`s playing it

@ivran
Yes it does make him an idiot, pick up a book and learn some science and stop thinking blind faith > factual evidence. You can`t take somebody who doesn`t have any respect for facts or statistics and put them at the head of the USA, if you do we end up with what happened in 2008.

The biggest problem with the United States is that we`re letting this idiot run for president.

Why does listening to him remind me of a Bukowski stream of consciousness? He has some good ideas, but he gets to the point where it looks like he is trying to shake an idea out of his head. He flows streamlessly between saying there is not that much corruption to it`s a corrupt system that invites abuse to this entitlement is the corruption. I have know some people on serious meds that were just months away from their death that kept a better stream going.

@carmium Just because he might be wrong about one thing makes him an idiot? I`m sure you are wrong about waay more than he is. What does that make you? I`ll tell you: absolutely worthless, so do the world a favor and go kill yourself.

Buiadh, we have these things called Amendments and like, they amend. Constitution in the American parlance is like a verb baby, not a noun.
(Why does this come out of non USers so often? Where your constitutions written yesterday)?

Also most European countries had absolute monarchs who believed in the Divine Right of Kings, what`s your point?

@carmium.. yep.

60% of his ideas i agree with isn`t worth the 40% i don`t.

Ron Paul believes whatever he wants to believe. The beauty is he doesn`t believe in forcing you to to have the same beliefs as him. Freedom at its` finest.

Hey, Ron, here`s another problem with America: 40% of you are Bible literalists who think evolution is a conspiracy. Just like you, Ron. I don`t care how much sense you make in other fields, you scare me when you place blind religious faith ahead of science. I`m sorry to say you`re an idiot.

@auburnjunky

That`s hundreds of years old now. Surely it`s lost its relevance?

Also, your founding fathers were slave owners. And they were agnostic.

@Buiadh: because in interpreting laws, you need to focus on one of two things: (a) the letter of the law, or (b) the intent of the law. The U.S. Constitution is the fundamental law here.

@incubus_inc: IMO, we constantly, constantly miss our chance to elect intelligent individuals with common sense. Mainly because the majority of people can`t relate to such people. The majority of people can only relate to candidates who pander to their own selfish causes and beliefs, without paying any mind to consequences to the future or to people outside their own demographic. It`s a variation of the Tragedy of the Commons really.

America is all about "I want to take from THAT guy" instead of "I want to work hard in order to make the world a better place." So long as the country comprises more of the former than the latter, we`ll destroy ourselves with each election cycle.

I don`t think the point is that it is supposed to be ground breaking news patch... just saying.

And Wundt while you draw up a pretty good point, I don`t believe his campaigns have ever drawn on as many resources as your atypical big media big money campaigns (ie. Romney). I think he sticks to it because he really does genuinely CARE. Coincidentally, you can hear such disdain in his speeches and debates this campaign I believe because he is growing tired of the trivial repeat cycle where Americas majority populous` incompetence shun his common sense values and propositions, and we end up with another hoo hah with one thumb up their ass, and the other in our pockets. IF he gets shut down this time around once again... which seems once again the inevitable outcome... it is my belief his rigorous trials will have come to an end. Poor guy is getting old, we missed our chance.

Drat the founding fathers and drat their vision. If we could start over from scratch, we have the technology to create a better nation with a better life for all of it`s citizens.

He is correct, but I don`t see any difference in his own behavior. He is just as uncompromising and has been in constant campaign mode for the last decade.

@Buidah: Because their vision is what the country is based upon?

You used post #3500 on that?
