It does if it`s a pink t-shirt sold by a cancer charity

@kingpong, PP isn`t under a criminal investigation. They are under a congressional investigation. I don`t support t-shirt companies that operate under a guise of charity. I hope they hang themselves a bit more.

Anyway, please don`t stop donating to SGK. They are already facing funding shortages due to the current economic environment and they are already seeing a drop in donations. PP`s grants that were cut were for pass-throughs and referrals, SGK is trying to save lives and what PP was using the money for just wasn`t doing the job properly. The drop in donations seen will invariably result in a loss of life. That`s why this garbage bothers me. Misinformation like this will indirectly cost many men and women their lives.

First of all, SGK didn`t ever drop funding to PP. It was only in areas where there were already more effective programs than those PP had to offer. These better programs received grants instead. Several PP affiliates continued to receive grants.

Second, the decision to remove funding was primarily due to SGK`s decision not to fund anyone undergoing a criminal investigation. PP was not the only group to be disqualified for funding, they were just the only vocal group as most people like to keep quiet about these kinds of internal issues.

Though SGK is a charity, they have to act like a business if they want to meet their goals. They are currently shifting their goals away from awareness and education to a more research and healing based goal. Not all PP affiliates lost funding, but the ones that did, did so because they were offering an inferior product. It has zero to do with the fact that PP are the abortion people. It can easily be evidenced that SGK has no is

I believe you are wrong. As far as what I can find says PP don`t actually do any screening at all. They refer women for screening. That is very different from the perspective of a breast-cancer charity.

Lady: Your dog is very sweet, but he keeps sniffing my arse.

Me: He`s clever too. His previous owner taught him to sniff out cervical cancer. You`re probably OK though. He`s not barking.

Dog: Woof!

@i can`t tell if you don`t understand what the picture is about, or if i just dont understand what you are talking about...
And buying the processes of some pink stuff go to those doctors who screen for cancer. It is a way of donating and getting something you need in the process.

@randomxnp: I don`t `know` because I`m not present at every cancer screening... but Planned Parenthood claims to conduct approximately 830,000 breast cancer screenings a year.

The Susan G Komen foundation provided funding to Planned Parenthood for about 160,000 cancer screenings over the past five years - roughly 32,000 per year, on average. That`s a decent fraction of the whole, but not by any stretch a large part of the total.

Except that doctors at planned parenthood do scan for breast cancer. o_O

Things that don`t scan for breast cancer: doctors at planned parenthood.

This is basically a lie. Of course the doctors can scan for breast cancer. That is irrelevant since they don`t. That, and the controversy of the issue, is why Komen stopped funding them.

Fascist propaganda like this, screaming lies about a perfectly decent charity just because it is neutral on an issue, is why the claim of these f`wits to be liberal is so laughable. They are disgustingly illiberal.

"There are no doctors there, only murderers."

HAHA! I love these guys. Yo, I`m a vet. I know murderers. Heck, most of us are pretty nice guys. `Course I bet you`d never get got dead calling us murderers. What are you afraid of? Just because I know how to use explosives and some nerdy doc doesn`t, makes it easy to be a big shot against him?

If you`ve read the news recently, the foundation did initially remove funding to planned parenthood. They apologized and reinstated the funding after the fallout of people about the move. Which I`m pretty sure this graphic is aimed at.

Items for breast cancer awareness, usually pink, usually have a portion of the proceeds go to actually help breast cancer patients.
