Another barely literate religious nutbag bites the dirt.

Science rules, religion drools.

He`s become the new Carl Sagan.
Meaning egotistical and full of his own self-importance. Not that his science is wrong or anything. It`s just he has the same Pompous Ass style of Carl Sagan. The "I am so obviously smarter than YOU" style of talking. Which of course he probably is, but dude! Don`t be braggin.

The only Tyson I love is Tyson chicken.

Jesus himself is unequivocal on this subject "No one knows the day or the hour of the coming of the Son of Man" Also, anyone claiming to know falls into the category of "false prophet". It is the misguided and the nutbars that keep talking about the Second Coming.
according to Chocolatex` link, the people from the 1300 were blessed with not having to listen to that crap for a whole century
It`s missing some, then. Maybe they just didn`t catch on much. Maybe the records have been lost. Maybe the list is just incomplete. I had a quick look and it seems to be missing the many apocalyptic end of days predictions ~1345-1400, stemming from the Death and subsequent plagues over the rest of the century. In a deeply religious medieval culture, for a religion that has prophecy of mass death and the end of days, the Death sure looked like that.

THAT`S how to handle a troll. Don`t insult him, don`t lower yourself to his level, just cite facts, your position, and don`t fan the flames of anger.

@msieg007 What are we supposed to believe in? And what is the point of it?

What really irritates me are Christians that completely miss the point of what they`re supposed to believe in.

I love Trek too that actually has nothing to do with this...Tyson is from NOVA. Anyway he`s an awesome guy but that idiot on Facebook isn`t going to learn a damn thing. The guy can`t even finish a sentence, there`s no way he comprehends 1/10nth of what the show is about.
