Looks like someone made a lot of money by sneaking into Whitney Houston"s funeral and snapping a photo of her body.

@Gerry: that`s bullpoo, the soldiers are forgotten if YOU choose to forget them. I know I don`t. I think about my friends that were killed and that committed suicide, everyday.

I think I need a break from IAB again.....sigh

According to Whitney-Fan.com, Nippy was Whitney Houston`s childhood nickname, given by her father.

Madduck, you are completely correct in the fact that when photography was in its early days, it was really expensive and families were lucky to have photos at all. However, the practice of taking pictures of corpses dates even before that. The earliest cameras had a hell of a long exposure time and it was difficult for living people to remain completely still that long. The solution to this was to take pictures of the dead because they sure wouldn`t be figgiting around and such.

Bacon-pie, I believe ( may be wrong so correct me if I am) that when photos first became avaiable they were expensive and not ordinarily done, thus if someone died the family often had no picture of them- so would get one done with the corpse as a memento. As photography became more common and affordable this practice tended to remain with those of lower socio-economic standing ( for the same reason) and one would assume snuck in there with certain cultures. It is not the norm to `view` a body here in the UK- close family maybe- but to all wander past and have a gander is not common.....

I`ll probably get harassed over this but I have to ask this question. I can see why there would be pics at a famous persons` funerals, but why do black families take pictures of the dead relative and also get their pictures put on shirts or coffee mugs? I`m sure other races do it, but I`ve only seen it with black families, especially in the south.

Gerry, I liked your groaner of puns. Pretty funny stuff.

Oh, that`s just morbid! Publishing the photo, I think, is a grave mistake. Of corpse, the maggotzine had all the details! The DIEtribe Kevin Cosner went on. (Hint to Kevin: There`s no YOU in eulogy.) I guess someone had a coffin fit during the whole thing and Aretha Franklin didn`t even show up saying "It`s just tomb much for me".

Also, Enquirer report that diemond pin she`s wearing was supposed to go to her mom, but I`m dead-sure that it didn`t reach it`s deathtination. Shocking but not worth losing your decomposure over, that`d be a rottin` thing to do.

Okay, time to take me off laugh support. I have morgue but I`ll stop now . . . over my dead body.

More than likely whoever took the picture was invited and snuck a camera in with them.
