Those are over-rated; what about Cyan, Magenta and Yellow? They`re the only primary colours for me...

Since human vision is trichromatic and primary colors are only colours that can be combined to make a useful range of colurs. Yes, pick whatever you`d like, so long as there are three and they don`t look like poo when you mix `em

The video is about tricolour print systems. so @pfkdxius is right, although as @xelous says, RGB etc. also makes equal sense; it depends on your colour system; whether it is additive or subtractive and the gamut to be reproduced.

Actually, colour is entirely subjective. perception is a neural, not purely optical process. Some animals are monochromats, diclromats or tetrachromats and some have receptors that are receptive to frequencies different to those in human eyes, so their perception is different.

three colors make up a basis like in linear algebra. all of the linear combinations of them span the visual spectrum because our eyes are trichromatic.

Red, Yellow, & Blue - that`s what I was taught.
Then later they`ll learn the 3 colors are
    Cyan, Magenta & Yellow.
    Bastards messing with kids minds!
