I do enjoy the fact that before his foot even rest back on the ground, he is already looking at the paper and continuing to write down the citation. To the few that said she was kicked in the forehead.....No, you are wrong.

She got kicked at the base of the skull that meets the jaw. this was a well placed kick that usually ends up with at minimum a dazed head, at max, even at low strength, a knockout.

She will be fine in the morning, he will have avoided injury, and she is a little bit wiser for it.

So STFU criminal lovers. Shes commiting a crime, the only right she has at the moment is to remain silent, or the cop will shut her up.

"But he`s also wrong. He`s sober, and he`s trained in the use of "appropriate force"."

This was appropriate force. He disabled her ability to further attempt harm to him or herself. Sure he could have just done it through paperwork, while she continues to thrash about.

No, this was correct force. Stupid mean person shouldnt have assaulted him. He put that boot on the button. Perfect spot to daze her and make sure she doesnt again. He dosnt kick her repeatedly, he doesnt taze her which could kill her. He knocks her cold...

Justified.....

Wow a bunch of you are idiots. She assaults the cop, he kicks her in the mouth, done and done. She deserved it.

Funny how many of you are so willing to cry against the cop in cases like this. Should be f.ucking fart butterflies when you cant keep control of yourself?

F.UCK NO!!!

This fat f.uck deserved this.

If she`d kept her mouth shut and her feet to herself, it would never have happened.

alsobored-"disgusts me how you americans think what`s happening in this gif is okay"

I never said I think what happend was `okay`. It`s not `okay` for her to kick a cop. I don`t consider his response `okay`. I`m just pointing out that SHE instituted it, abused a cop, and has no right to be upset by the response.

Simple rule: When you kick a tiger in the ass, you better have a plan to deal with the teeth.

alsobored-"you Americans are completely heartless"

Why should I be worried what happends to drunk, beligerent trash? SHE instigated it, and got upset over the results.

And I bet he kept his job and had a congratulatory party back at the station...in my town about 90 % of the cops are on the take and don`t give a flying drat about protecting anything that isn`t their money or status. They don`t care about the people at all. I could totally see this happening in my town and that scares the hell out of me.

simmerdown-"the thing I`m most afraid of isn`t the criminals, but the police."

Then you have a skewed and unreal of the situation. You`re probably get your info from the movies & TV, where is Politicaly Correct to make `Da Man` the bad guy and to make the `poor underprivileged who never got a shot at life had to turn to crime, but for the best of reasons, and he`s actually a victim of society`. Movies ain`t real.

She kicked somebody and got, at most, a headeach. Had she tried that to some none cops, she could have gotten cut-up or dead. I deal with officers quite often. I`ve met exactly one (1) who was a douche. That`s a pretty good average. On the other hand, I work in a bad part of town. I`ve been threatened, seen a shooting, had my truck vandalized amoung other things. Not too good of a average on the citizens` part.

Let me guess, you`re one of those idiots who `don`t like no steenkin cops` and consider them just `douche bags` who bother other people. Right up until the time someone mugs you, and you`re the first one to yell "WHERE`S THE COPS? STOP HIM!! BEAT THE CRAP OUTA HIM!!".

Tell you what. Next time you`re a victim of a crime, DO NOT call the cops. You don`t believe in them, right?

Ripper398-"Than who do we pay exactly to deal with drunk abusive people?"

I didn`t say we didn`t pay them to deal with idiots/cirminals/drunks. But part of their job is not to be a punching bag. If you`re a `drunk abusive people`, you deserven pretty much anything you get. I have no sympathy for drunks.

Not on her side. She was wrong. A stupid drunk.

But he`s also wrong. He`s sober, and he`s trained in the use of "appropriate force". He could have stepped out of her leg-range and charged her with assaulting an officer. Instead he put a steal-toed boot in her forehead. Wrong...so wrong.

You DO realize, don`t you, that it entirely possible to go through your entire life without:
1) Getting Arrested,
2) Physically assualting an officer of the law,
3) Being put in handcuffs (except for fun)?

Yes, NOT getting arrested or hit by a cop is ENTIRELY how I want to live. And so far I`ve managed it pretty good.

I`m pretty sure that YOU haven`t.

Angilion-"... against a restrained person...She wasn`t a risk to him"

Well, demonstratablly she wasn`t completely restrained, and she proved her willingness to attack him. She`s an idiot.
She kicked him first. How in the hell is anybody on her side?
Because he used potentially deadly force against a restrained person who was already on the ground. That`s blatantly excessive force.

She wasn`t a risk to him - look at how little her flailing did to him. Either he deliberately used excessive force or he lost his temper and used excessive force in anger. Either is a bad thing for a copper to do.

saying you have no sympathy because she deserved it is exactly why cops get away with this poo.

she did not desreve that and if it were you or a loved one you would not think for a second that it was okay to do that.

kicking a handcuffed person in the head is plain wrong.

she was not capable of actually hurting him and he took it upon himself to cause great injury to a person for no real reason.

Male 2,345
even in MMA a "soccer kick" to the head is illegal.

people, we need to stop allowing cops to think that any level of force is acceptable if a person is acting like a douche bag. yea she tried to kick him, she clearly was not able to and did not harm him at all and yet he still soccer kicked her in the head with plenty of force.

this goes way beyond what a cop should be allowed to do. she was no real threat to him and yet he attacked her with a deadly kick to the head.

this cop should be fired and all cops like him.

People seem to take to two sides. She was a helpless victim or she had it coming.
She definitely was instigating a reaction and deserved a response. That response being to be placed in a squad car or even just move away and add that to her list of crimes. Even further restraint would be justified but only proper force like holding her down or binding her ankles. Kicking her in the face while she was already restrained and sitting is indeed unacceptable as is her flagrant disregard for the law in assaulting an officer in any manner. Shades of grey folks not black and white.

Unnecessary vindictive violence just because you can is clearly routine here. But he`s a cop and she`s a `bitch`, so everything is cool.

Did she assault the officer? Yes. Was she a credible threat to his safety? No. Did he use excessive force? Yes. By simply taking one step back, her minimal threat to his person would have been moot. Kicking her in the head was a retaliatory act, and therefore assault.
I`m sure however, that when he wrote his report he used terms like "Subject was combative", and "I feared for my life".
