"Well, I`m on my way to a torrent search engine...
"

You dont need a torrent, just look for any site that publicly posts names and passwords to peoples minecraft accounts. Yes these Names and passes are voluntary as people are helping to spread the game.

Use the info to llog into the MC website, press D/L full version, and enjoy.

"Broke is not an excuse! People like that started this whole SOPA thing!"

No, its people and developers like this that can help bring these giant media companies down to size. Actors, entertainers, athletes, all are paid WAY too much. Notch had a project, he made a decent amount of money, now he is just like F.uck it. His game has sold through word of mouth, the server hosting companies are making a killing.

No Evil_Eye, you are completely just wrong.

PC: £500
Internet: £30 a month
Minecraft cost: SOPA blocked, but I think it was £15

Broke is not an excuse! People like that started this whole SOPA thing!

@tedgp No, because he charged people a fraction of the full price to play the Alpha and Beta, but didn`t charge them the full price afterwards. They just kept playing when the full game came out.

LOL, what game isn`t for people with too much time? How is digging fake holes worse that firing fake bullets to kill fake people or fake monsters, or using a fake gun to shoot fake portals into fake walls?

Why would he care if people pirate it. He charged people to download and play the alpha and beta versions. He became a millionaire from that alone.

If anything, he`s WORSE than the Record and movie industry.

Seriously, I`m bored constantly but never to the point where I would spend hours upon hours digging fake holes just so I can create some crappy 8bit sculpture. I`d rather play Call of Duty blind than play that game.

Minecraft is the most boring game ever and only people who like it are people who have too much time on their hands.

I feel silly, but I`m still not even sure what minecraft is. I mean, I`ve seen some videos and pictures of it, but I still don`t really get what it is. :S

@anarchsoul : Nobody`s forcing you or judging you for it...

However, Minecraft is a thousand times more fun than most of the games coming out nowadays. Seriously, all those Need for Speed games, even Ace Combat sucks now, and Call of Duty... Dragon Age...yawnfests when compared to Minecraft.

@ruffiana and yet it is the indie studios that aren`t on too solid of footing that usually don`t worry too much about piracy, and the huge corporations with hundreds of millions to spare that make all the noise

@ivran, Why does it matter how it was made? Value is in the final product.

@PacoP42, Don`t fool yourself. Notch has already made millions and millions on his one-man venture. I assure you he`d have a very different attitude if his game were widely pirated while he still struggled to pay for utilities or if he had to answer to outside investors who`d put up tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to make a AAA game.

At this point, it`s just extra free money that he never, in his wildest dreams, thought he`d be getting. That kind of lucky success tends with zero accountability to anyone else tends to make people pretty mellow.

I don`t feel bad about it. If a game is terrific I`ll go buy it! Or it`s sequil at least.

Most games are full of bugs. You have to buy it & register it to get the patches to actually play the game.

what i love about indie devs is that they tend to be less money-grubbing than the bigger companies
