Hey I-A-B, Does This Count As Irony? [Pic]

It has all the telltale signs of irony, but you know how tricky that word is.

..because as IAB repeatedly told us, the only kind of acceptable tattoo is one depicting super Mario and/or the elf dude from Legends of Zelda. We must "ironically" like video games from the 80-s, cuz we`re cool like that.

no, it`s not irony, it`s a quote in tattoo form, on a body. simple.

@ EmagehtmaI - so did I. And I spent nearly two minutes checking to make sure I spelled your name correctly.

Only if a tattoo is always a mistake, which isn`t necessarily the case. Honestly I think this post is quite ignorant.

I don`t think the mistake is the tattoo the mistake is her. The mistake is anyone who gets stupid tattoos like this. That`s the mistake.

I spent two minutes trying to find the misspelled word in that tattoo.

OK I`ll explain it for y`all:
The act of getting a big ugly tattoo is usually considered a mistake. However, this mistake turns out to make her having done something "worthy".

Mistake = good thing, based on what the tattoo says.
Or is that just too cerebral?

Ok the OP was commenting about how most people would consider getting a tattoo especially one that size mijudged read the meaning of the quote, thinking it is anti "mistake" instead of pro "mistake"

I think it`s ironic because there isn`t a mistake on her tatoo

is it because she`s a she and not a he as the tattoo says, so technically its not directed at her so does not apply to her so therefor it is ironic for her to have a tattoo which was intended at her but in the end wasn`t so its a mistake... *head explodes* nah i think the OP is just an idiot...

I re-read it 16 dozen times. There`s nothing spelt wrong, no grammar issues, no mistakes. Unless I`m seriously missing something, I don`t think OP knows what "irony" is.

Is it ironic because it`s grammatically correct? I`m just throwing it out there, but people typically have more than one chance to drat up. I know I`ve had more than my fair share, but even I know how to form a complete thought most of the time. Maybe this is one of the times I miss it, but I`m just not seeing anything wrong here.

No, because the tattoo itself sort of backs the ideology of the tattoo, if that makes sense... It`s a silly tattoo, but the phrase supports itself.

given the musical staff up top I`m thinking it was supposed to be "did nothing NOTEworthy"

No. It is not ironic.
Moronic, yes.

Apparently the word "irony" is tricky because MidoriBug doesn`t know what it means.

"Didn`t" instead of "did not?" Or are we missing something, making my life worthy in the process?

lol, i get it... MidoriBug you thought we were going to be all onboard with this but we`re not. You were mistaken, and hence the irony... Good Show!

That is a big, ugly tatt!

I guess it counts as irony. Or self-fulfilling prophecy...
