The sad thing is that those are really 35 year old people who`s growth is stunted due to lack of nutrition. Go go NK!

I wonder what kind of torture they had to endure for any mistakes they made? Talent like this may come with a price, especially in N. Korea I bet.

Looks to me like only the middle girl is enjoying what she`s doing.....

Yes repost - so I`m gonna repeat what I said last time. I can`t believe they`re having them play full-size!

And yes, for some reason I enjoyed it more this time.

i`d be much better a guitar if someone threatened the life of me and my family for inspiration.

those "kids" are actually like 30. that`s what a life time of malnutrition can do to you.

What most people don`t realize is that those "kids" were really 35 year old people. It`s the malnourishment that makes them 3` tall... And that eerie false smile - there nothing like learning how to smile while being reprimanded.

@Gerry : There`s a curfew for everyone in North Korea... So at night : lights out, and people sleep. Because they have to.

Impressive, yes, but you have to wonder if those little kids weren`t selected for their perceived potential and sent to 8-hour-a-day guitar boarding school.

I don`t get it. Why do they have tv if none of them have electricity?

Hard to say why these kids had to this, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

@drawman61:
Have you spoken to a British person under 25 in the last decade? Or do you find the Daily Mail to be such a comprehensive source of quality information that you never have to get to close so they can`t stab/rape/happy-slap/mug you, as we know all young British people are want to do to everyone they ever see.

FFFFFFffff.......hell hath no furry like my rage right now.

I wonder if they know, Brand New Key or Dueling Banjos?
They must be college graduates by now anyway.

or you could raise your kids the British way where they have no manners, show no respect to anyone, swear constantly whatever the company they are in, think the world owes them a living, take-take-take.

Nothing like 12 hour sessions with a little shock therapy mixed in.

if that doesn`t work you can always get out the brand they use to mark horses

Comments remind me of the cold war times.
Why are there trees along the road in europe?
To shade the road from intense sun, to make the countryside more beautiful....
Why are there trees along the road in russia?
To prevent the people to see what happens behind them...

You may replace russia with china, iran, israel, palestina, america, cuba, north korea, south korea, luxemburg...., depending on where you live and your political view.

TLDR: Russian parents love their children too.

Compared to "Toddlers in Tiaras" this is downright folksy.

Aww, poor little kids. I hope at least a couple of them manage to escape one day.
And to anyone who thinks that this isn`t that bad: Those are smiles of fear. If they don`t preform perfectly, there is no doubt they and their families will be shot. When you see happy North Koreans, it`s because if they don`t look happy, they and their families will die.
go revisit the toddler & tiaras post a few lines down, check out how Americans feed their kids "magic juice" before their daisy duke performance, and stop judging.
Right, because an ignorant, red-neck parent who dresses her kid up in silly costumes is EXACTLY the same as a tyrannical dictator who starves a million people to death.

It`s amazing what you can get a starving kid to do for a bowl of rice.

nice performance. I think there was a nirvana riff in there somewhere.

of course, you have -right away- the so called "enlightened" 1st world critics saying that these kids were forced to play music 20 hours a day, trying to get it perfect, and that the smiles were forced by hard metal implants in their cheeks.

to them I say, go revisit the toddler & tiaras post a few lines down, check out how Americans feed their kids "magic juice" before their daisy duke performance, and stop judging.

One can only imagine how many tears were shed to get a group of little tykes like that to perform like automatons.

But I`m not impressed, North Korea. NOT AT ALL!!! When you can get a dozen infants still in their cribs to play french horn, THEN I`ll take notice.

The damn guitars are taller than the kids are. And their smiles look so fake, it`s creepy.

pretty amazing, of course we will have no end to the speculation that they beat their kids or control them with drugs in their jello of how they got so good.
