lighter fluid and a box of matches would illuminate the field longer and cheaper

wow this is so inefficient.

Could have used perspex or fiber optics or liquid crystals to focus the energy like they do in lcd tvs.

Hell any lens that focused the light would have worked to save energy and be brighter.

Seriously? he`s comparing it to a maglite? You can buy a 1400 lumen light for under $50.

For the size of it, I would have hoped for a carbon arc lamp.

If this was really good, it would light up airplanes passing overhead.

I`m rockin` the 6 D-Cell Maglite. It`s awesome because it`s not only a flashlight it`s also a weapon.

I hate ALL LED flahlights.

They are blinding when you look at them and they don`t illuminate ANYTHING.

It`s almost as if the light it creates has a hard time bouncing off surfaces. The big metal baton flashlight my dad`s always had is one small bulb and it lights up an entire room during power failures.

1 - Didn`t look any brighter than commercially available spotlights

2 - Significant design flaw of just putting the bulbs on the end. If he had recessed them and used a lens he could likely get a much more focused and intense light.

What of waste of time (his for doing it and mine for watching it)

this thing is so stupid, no way to focus the light without a reflector.
