@003067- I live in New York on the East coast. Can you not see that under my screen name, you jackwagon? I live in the United States. You didn`t know the statistics? Well why should you. You think Texas is on the East coast.

"9 out of 10 americans, own guns in this country (estimated)."

That estimation is wrong, that is per capita, which is a poor estimation of ownership. The real stat is much closer to 60% of americans own, and 45% (of total) have ever fired a firearm. Many own as a precaution, or have inherited.

It`s acceptable to say OWS Moscow, since it`s part of the OWS Movement. But if you were going to type it out full (more common)or say it verbally you would say Occupy Moscow.

The police do this to keep us in check. They want us to think that they are in charge, are more powerful, and can do what ever they want. And as long as we allow it, it will continue. 9 out of 10 americans, own guns in this country (estimated). There is roughly 800,000 police officers employed in the United states and roughly 311 million people, including law enforcement. Do the math.

A lot of hypocrites scream their little heads off about big government and the constitution, then support the police state against Americans exercising their first amendment rights. Pigs.

Look at it from the cop`s perspective. They have to deal with Raiders fans all the time.

Our police is less efficient, so they have to use more force.
I`m ok with it.

In the US the protestors purposely try to get arrested, like its a badge of honor. In russia, jail is a bit less of a joke. Or so I hear and have seen in documentaries.

Since when was Oakland ever considered to be more civilized than Russia?

The guy in the very back with the grey hat seems to be the only one aware he`s going to jail.

"In Soviet Russia, only happy protesters are arrested... they leave the miserable ones out in the cold." No? Okay, so I would make a lousy comedian.

people, stop kidding yourselves...we are not free. We have not been for a long time. When police wear military style uniforms and equipment and treat protesters like terrorist we can be sure that we lost our freedom long ago.

when we have people in this country that defend large banks and corrupt politicians after they bankrupted the world while making themselves billions, we know that something is wrong with our thinking...

the protesters are not asking for handouts, their asking for business to get its hand out of our pockets and stop lining their pockets so heavily that they do not create new jobs.

They are also asking that companies stop shipping all the jobs here over seas...

if you think we have the same amount of freedom now as we did 25 years ago and that walls street/gov is not to blame for what happened in 2008 to the present then PLEASE WTFU and start seeing reality.

I get the idea here both are detainees taken into custody during protests. But since this is nothing more than a pair of pictures with no link to a full story on either it makes this point null. Unless you can show both sides were in the same situation this matters little.

The title is a bit of a stretch. How do we know both or either group were "rioting"? Protesting perhaps. Hard to compare without proper attribution, which is a big problem with the Internet these days.
