Especially to a troll, such as yourself, that can`t type a paragraph without using profane insults and vapid disrespect.

"Not in Christianity, Sin is sin, one is not worse than another or better, that`s a recent secularist revision. In the law we do separate crimes as to the `severity` of the offense (misdemeanors, felonies, and capital crimes), such is not the case in the bible.

Really? Then why do we need a hell? Why do you put the fear of Satan into people if by your argument, he doesnt exist? If jesus saved from sin, then that means ALL sin, so no one goes to hell.....

Seriously Crackr, every time you try to defend yourself, you show the truly uneducated side of Jesus religions.

Really your "god" has broken all of his rules. Cmon he murder nearly the entire population of humans. He raped so he could have a son. He worshiped his own son as a savior (ie:worshiping a false god).

I mean really, you put your faith into something who`s intentions are no better than the presidents who start wars....

....and really, what is god`s "eternal punishment?"

Dont you mean that god makes like any other human and passes the responsibility to someone else? What is he punishing for? Rules that man made up? Does satan punish or does god? Do you even know? If Jesus saves us from sin, then why is there a hell? Do you even know? What is there some sins that Jesus` body wasnt good enough to cover?

Seriously dude, listen to your own oral-defecation and understand it. Under your own words, God is evil, he deal out the punishment.

"Thankfully God loved us so much that he offered his son, Jesus Christ, as payment for all of mankind`s debt of sins, so that we wouldn`t have to face his eternal punishment."

Ok I gotta say, you stupid f.uck. Do you REALLY believe that. So your god, made his rules, then sacrificed his son, to save his creation, that was breaking his rules, from his wrath?

How the hell does that make sense? Where in any kind of logical meaning does that even work?!? Thats like killing your own child and accepting that as payment so that you dont beat the dog that shhits on the floor.

If that is truely what you believe, then your god is evil. That is not love. If he loved his creation, he would sacrifice himself, but NOOOOOO!!!!!

Seriously dude, do you even listen to this poot that you say?

@crakrjak

so if im mixing God`s law and human law together, then you are telling me that there is no punishment for those who sin on earth. for example, in the OT, the punishment for adultry was stoning, and we know the story of Jesus (pbuh) and the prostitute where he said "whomever is sinless, cast the first stone." but how about someone who murders, steals, and/or blaspheme? There is no punishment for them on Earth?

I couldn`t even watch the whole thing; once he got to the "Congratulations on your false religion" part, I had to stop. Islam is as false as it gets. Not to mention Christmas was a pagan holiday at first, but was adapted to -represent- the birth of Jesus Christ, not God. This is one of those self important pricks in Islam that believes that everyone needs to be a Muslim, or wage holy war on them until they are, or are all killed. Society as a whole would be far better off without the Middle East. With as much trouble as the place causes, its oil and its people becoming a void of land or life would be beneficial to humanity. These people were pretty slick, getting weapons to fight freedom wars, and later turn said weapons on everyone. We never should have given them the weapons, as they`ve proven themselves too violent and unstable to be responsible with them.

akabane: Your mixing human law and God`s view of sin, the two are separate things. Only God can judge our souls, Humans do commit crimes and, if caught, can be convicted. Humans can get it wrong, God won`t.

So no, you`re trying to equate sin with crime, which in fact many sins are not `crimes` in the eyes of the law. Humans can judge your earthly body and you may be innocent or you might get away with a sinful crime here on earth, but God will judge your sin later.

Thankfully God loved us so much that he offered his son, Jesus Christ, as payment for all of mankind`s debt of sins, so that we wouldn`t have to face his eternal punishment.

If I committed a little naughty mass murder, I`m sure I`d be forgiven lickedy split if I asked for it. What`s the penance for that? 10 minutes of kneeling? Seems an easy way to justify things...

Actually.. he does take it to an extreme but look at it from his point of view. It`s offensive to him for a muslim to say it to a christian because he feels it is condoning the propagation of a false religion. That is his right. I think it might be an extreme take on things, but more power to him. He feels it`s a sin.

Follow question though: How many people in here feel that saying praise allah as a nonbeliever of islam is inherently wrong and cheapens the true meaning for those who actually believe it?
Same concept in the long run. He just takes it to an extreme.

@crakrjak, so if sin is sin, then stealing is equivalent to killing which is equivalent to fornication which is equivalent to cheating on a test and so on. So there is no such thing as minor and major sins? Does that mean if someone wrongs, then the punishment is always death? Thats much more extreme than what this guy is saying dont you think?

I get what this guy is saying. Saying Merry Christmas is acknowledging that God was born on this date in history, through Jesus Christ. and by saying merry Christmas you are agreeing with this FACT that Jesus was God. Which these people do not believe.

It would be like saying Joe Smoo is God.We celebrate this day as his birth. If you refuse to acknowledge it, or return my token greeting about this being the day we celebrate as his birth, then your an idiot.

One more thing, the first 2 commandments of the ten commandments for jews and christians is that "God is One," and "Do not make an image or likeness of what is in heavens above." There is a reason why they are first, and "though shalt not murder" is sixth. In these religions, they have a higher priority than others. In islam, disobeying your parents is worst than adultery and murder. Is that wrong too?

i dont know why people talking about honor killings in islam. it is in the quran that it is forbidden, look up chapter 81 verse 8 to 9 "and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: `for what offense was she killed?`" The arabs had this honor killings during the pre islamic period, and this verse came saying to stop. now it is back, for some bizarre reason, and it is completely wrong. we call this ignorance, or "jahl" in arabic.

All I`m going to say is that when someone comes through my till and wishes me a Merry Christmas, or a Happy Hanukkah I take it for exactly what it means.

I wish you well over the next few weeks. It`s almost just like saying Bonjour instead of Hellom it still means the same thing it`s just a different language instead of a different religion. I`m not a christian, do I get offended when someone says God Bless you? No, because they`re simply wishing me well, and even if I don`t believe, I appreciate the sentiment. People need to calm their tits!

Forgot to conclude what I just wrote. So basically, you`ll get crazies like this. But there were far more Muslim`s telling her to stop being an idiot than Muslim`s agreeing with her. On the other end of the spectrum, there were obnoxious comments from Christians saying "this should be a thank you Jesus song instead of santa" -_-;

So my favorite group released a Christmas song (all the artists in the company they work for released songs on an album). The song was basically a "thank you santa" song, nothing religious in it. So I went to the comments of the mv on youtube and saw a muslim girl spamming the page with how bad the singers are for making a christmas song, how she`s mad at them, how they`re trying to convert her, and how her religion doesn`t let her listen to the song and she wants to hear the song so they`re being racist (her religion being stupid = artists being racist apparently). Even muslims commented to her telling her to just not listen to it if she didn`t like it, it was just a santa song and no one`s trying to convert her. Most of the singers in the song are christians (I think only 1 is an atheist) so obviously they`d sing a song about a holiday they actually celebrate.

Pandabee You MIL (I`m going on an assumption here) was fortunate to be bought up in a freethinking country? Education is not just schools, it`s the environment we are immersed in throughout our lives. She may not have a formal education, but no doubt she has picked up knowledge that varies and conflicts (which is a good thing, it makes us think!) throughout her life.

But, in a very linear, very culturally and religiously bound minded country, those opportunities for learning are scarce, and someone like her, without access to formal schooling an books and the like, would be terribly badly off.

So, tell her from me, while she may not have benefited directly from an education herself, she has benefited indirectly, but immensely, because everyone around her has one! the best example is doctors! While SHE may not have an education, their education benefits her.

We`ve always done Yule or Jul in my family. Well, in living memory anyway, my great grandma is nearly 100 and it`s always been Jul/Yule as long as she can remember. Her mother and grandmother did/celebrated the same, or so she tells me anyway. We exchange gifts, and eat and drink waaaaay too much. It`s always a good time, and tends to go on for a few weeks!

LilyLily you should met my MIL, she can`t understand why education is important...why? because she didn`t have a good education and it never did her any harm. Education is absolutely the most important gift that you can give a child. I always tell my DD to question everything (including me) and don`t care if you think it sounds stupid.

We don`t call it for "Christmas"(translated to "kristmesse") in Norway. We celebrate "Jul" from the old norse word "jol / jólablót". That were the old norse tradition of celebrating mid-vinter. Celebrated with a meat-feast and gifts with close friends and family.
So most of you people, do actually celebrate "jul" not christmas..
So have a "good jul" everyone :)

I asked him about it. He would have been happy to gun me down if ordered, even though we were friends, and thats in his own words.

And these children, raised this way to think in these rigid ways, will eventually grow up to take adult positions in society, have their own children, and raise them the same. The cycle repeats endlessly. But, nip that in the bud by EDUCATING children about the world, about peace and respecting others and giving them skills for jobs and to decide for themselves? You create a freer thinking generation, and every subsequent one, being less suppressed by their parents, is even more free thinking.

It`s all about educating these children that they have a CHOICE and that what they do hurts others. Obviously this would need to be supplemented by laws to protect children from harm amongst other things, but it can be done.

- to kill each other if they ever got the opportunity for something that happened before their birth. In short, these kids were raised with the old vendetta and never questioned it because they didn`t have any other experiences or readings or thoughts to make comparisons and decide for themselves. It was terrible to watch.

By the time I left most of the female children above 12 were pulled from the `school` (I use that term loosely) for marriage, half the boys coerced into joining the militaria (Some even willingly, thinking it was their duty. Brainwashing at it`s finest) and the other half to work.

Basicly, these children know nothing else. They are raised to think this way. They therefore cannot make educated decisions. I asked one boy why he was wanted to join a militant organisation, he did not know why. He would be expected to kill people, and people like me (European decent) would be his targets.-

@Draculya Their is a lot of truth to that of course, but educating the up and coming generation is one of the best ways to combat it. While respecting religion and culture, yes, but not tolerating these atrocities against others. It`s going to be a long, multigenerational thing to change the mindset of a country, and it has to be voluntary. Education, of course, to broaden minds does do wonders. Increases in standards of living also, so children can actually go to school instead of being put to work, or worse, handed over to militant organisations.

Half the problem IS the education itself. Oh boy. One school I saw solely taught the Qur`an (And while religious education is nothing I have anything against, this was bizzare) the teacher was barley literate, and would take `examples`, in one directly telling these (Pakistani) children that they should hate and kill Indians. For those that don`t know there is old animosity between the two, but this is like telling nations-

The key to breaking this cycle? Better care, laws, and education. Set up schools, make it compulsory for kids to stay to say, 16. Children that are educated can read and seek information and THINK for themselves instead of blindly following what they are told. The problem is these issues within these countries are seen as acceptable, even morally right (Eg, honour killings). Educate people so they can make their own distinctions between right and wrong. As someone studying teaching and having seen this first hand, it really works. And personally (not statistically) people from 2nd and 3rd world countries are, in my experience, much less likely to be bias or bigoted (That goes for any nationality or religion, by the way) when they have had access to a good, solid education.

Knowledge is power!

Of course, laws protecting children and preventing killings etc would also help, but no one would be willing to pass them. Educating people though means that maybe the next gene

Like has been said, the views of one radical idiot do not represent the majority. Most/all of those of the Muslim faith that I have met have been great people.

You have to think of the environment that raises these types of people though. I recommend reading The Rugmaker if you ever get a chance. these children are often taught by family and beyond that warped, extremest `religion` is the only truth. Often kids are drafted/forced into militant groups (sometimes terrorist groups) because their parents believe this, and fed the same garbage, and they believe it. Many are physically harmed. And they are raised that this is normal and ok and it`s the way the world should be because some book, that they cannot read themselves due to being mostly illiterate, says so.

It`s hard to explain. You really have to go there and see it to understand. Kids are raised that this is ok, that they should kill. The woman who is raped is raised to believe she deserves death. It`s horrible

No, that is not a problem. No right minded person would think that blaspheming is worse than murder.

Reality check: if your imaginary friend`s rule book says your imaginary friend`s feelings are more important than real people, real families, that the metaphysical supersedes tangible, self-evident morals, then your rule book`s moral compass is duff.

The concept we have to respect all cultures is bull schitt.
I acknowledge their culture but "respect"... no.

As Carkr pointed out a woman is guilty and there can be no excuse for premairital sex...not even if it`s force on her against her will. Put her in jail, then when she`s out the family will do an honor killing. I`m supposed to "respect" this culture? No way.

In Pakistan, a blind woman was convited of premarital sex. She had been raped but because whe was blind she could`nt identify her attacker. She got 10 years in a Pakistani prison. In Iraq, a brother killed his 19 year old sister because see had been raped by their brother. He then ran into the street shouting he had restored honor to their family.

I`m not real sympathetic to the arab or islamic culture.

He said the belief behind Christmas is, i.e. God being born on December 25th... btw that is blasphemous to Jews and Muslims, equivalent to, say, blaspheming the Holy Spirit is worse than murder for Christians.

He said you shouldn`t say it because you`re "congratulating" that, but didn`t make the comparison of saying Merry Christmas to murder as the title suggests.

"By following his logic, raping and then stoning to death your own daughter would not be as sinful as wishing someone a Merry Christmas."

Indeed, because unless she has three witnesses to prove it was not consensual, then she is guilty of fornication and the only penalty is stoning.

"But HE just said Merry Christmas, several times. So...." I think it`s not if he is talking hypothetically. For example if he said in discussion that it is wrong to say that Mohammed liked to suck goat testicles and while forcibly inserting a ripe pink grapefruit up Allah`s unlubricated rectum then he would not be guilty or blasphemy, not even if he giggled a bit while saying it.

To be completely fair, only the practicing Catholics should be saying Merry Christmas to one another. As the holiday became VERY profitable to corporations, they started selling Christmas to all religions. Then the saying "Merry Christmas" was being spread to everyone, regardless of their faith, be it, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, etc...

If you don`t want to celebrate Christmas, then don`t. Just bear in mind: If you celebrate the same Christmas 99% of us celebrate, it is a corporate holiday, not a religious one....so don`t take offense.

the beard on him, looks silly, but i guess that`s a normal look. it`s interesting the hand wave he does, i guess that`s a muslim thing- like each culture has their own hand waving gestures...

True, but as akabane has pointed out there is some internal consistency in his position. Shirk? Something like that.

Yes, shirk

But I think it`s a misunderstanding of the Christian trinity, which isn`t really a trinity as such. Most of the Muslims I`ve met have a better understanding of it and therefore aren`t bothered by it, particularly when it`s Christians doing it.

But more importantly:

IO SATURNALIA!

In the muslim religion, faith is primary. This isn`t new.

I think CrakrJak has taken the FoxNews end of the stick here.

No no no... This dude is doing it all wrong. You want to get Christians mad over Christmas you use this video:
Stuff you don`t want to know about Xmas.
I *almost* submitted this link to IAB... but I didn`t want my name attached to it. Its way too flame-baity, and I tend to prefer my trolling subtle.

It`s f-ing impossible to avoid hearing `Merry Christmas` so why bother trying? At least half of the 19 Best Secular Songs use the term.

In Christopher Hitchen`s book, God Is Not Great, he claims that monotheistic religions are expressing a new determination to replace all other religious views. I don`t want to believe him but videos like this make me wonder.

you are partially right. Jesus was not born in December but not because the church calendar...

you need to study a certain roman emperor and pagan history to know why.

christians say exactly the same thing about islam...that it is a shame, false, their holidays don`t matter.

the problem you all are having with it is that you do not see your criticism of islam as the same thing.

he is referring to the first commandment for muslims, "God is only 1." and by saying "merry christmas," you are denouncing the first rule of belief, destroying the foundation. In islam, all sins are forgivable but a few, and this is one of them, (association with God).

Like any other religion they have every right to say that their "God" is the real "God" but they take it a step further feeling it`s their duty to convert the whole world to Islam and kill anyone who refuses to accept it as the one, true faith. It`s reminiscent of the Catholic`s Crusades in the 11th, 12th & 13th centuries.

This guy, like most people, Christian or not, obviously don`t understand the Liturgical calendar. Everyone knows Christ wasn`t born in the middle of December. It`s just how the church`s calendar is set up. It wouldn`t make sense to have Easter time a week away from Christmas time, in the church or out of the church.
