Not to stick up for Ron Paul or anything, but he didn`t seem to walk off in a huff to me, he was actually pretty polite. Secondly, CNN along with Fox news and most of the mainstream networks are run by the people who own the banks and corporations and the two major parties :) So when CNN runs a report on a candidate that`s a threat to those two parties and business as usual trying to smear him and that`s the only thing they want to focus on despite the fact he`s running for president and there`s more important things to ask as he`s answered the question 4 times to the woman, then I don`t take it very seriously. They were trying. He gave her an answer, and she kept asking the question to get a reaction because he didn`t give an answer she wanted. It was win win for their spin, he walks off in a huff (which he didn`t, at all) they say he "stormed off angry" or he says something stupid and they flame him for that. Yellow journalism.

So, where`s the huff? He`s clearly not amused but after she asks about the "incendiary" material 3 or 4 times and he`s answered several times, he just quietly removes the mic and leaves. Whether his answer is thorough or not he did answer, and that airhead`s voice was just grating. I can`t stand it when they focus on little things from decades ago instead of current issues, absolutely pointless.

Yeah, well he`s obviously a complete mean person. Hey: this is from the mainstream media, so it MUST be the truth. Keep compiling the football statistics and drinking the beer. That means you`re a REAL MAAAAAAAAAAAN! Enjoy your slavery, morons.

Those newletters were pretty inscendiary, and they were printed for a long time. I don`t buy that he didn`t know what was being said on his behalf. The other reason to dislike him is that he has the most conservative voting record since 1937.

Um, and Ron Paul doesn`t support ANY foreign military aid... I don`t know why people act like it`s just some anti-israeli policy he has... he doesn`t limit this philosophy to israel yet his critics seem to.

Even Benjamin Netanyahu has said they don`t need America`s help, that they can defend themselves.

Problem is he should of answered that poor excuse of a talking head directly, paused and asked if she had any other questions. If not he should of thanked her for her time and moved on.

ggolbez, that`s not at all what Ron Paul wants

This country was founded on having strong states rights and a federal government that was only responsible for a few things, MAINLY defending all of the states. Ron Paul supports a strong military for DEFENSE.

I don`t know where you get your information from, but it`s not anything Paul has ever said.

Explain to me how being anti-zionist and expecting countries to fight their own wars constitutes a clear HATRED of "jews in general"

While I will strongly agree that the system is currently flawed, the answer is not to throw your hands up in the air and say "I give up, let someone else handle it." Which is what Ron Paul is proposing. Rather than have the Federal Government do its job and rule over our country he wants each state to be a sovereign nation, leaving each to fend for themselves.

This is the closest I have ever seen any politician get to anarchy and the abolition of the United States government. Why would you want to run for president if your only goal is to destroy the country?

Why not try to fix the problems instead of giving up?

There are people who change positions after careful consideration and then there are people who change after money is offered. The former have integrity. If I`d have to take the evidence here at face value and Paul`s statements he`d be the former.

When will they learn that all this type of questioning will go away when you simply go with the MSM`s Democrat candidate.

I don`t mind them asking the questions, if they would simply ask both sides similar questions.

They don`t.

Advocates for their politics.

I think he handled that really well. He gave a reasonable response to her questions and was calm the whole time. I challenge any other candidate to be that cool-headed about something like that.

@Crakrjak, you`re misinformed.

This myth has been debunked NUMEROUS times.

He, along with several political theorists and supporting data, believes that he can likely help Israel MORE by stopping aid. Plus, we are supplying their enemies as well, indirectly. We can`t afford to support other nations, and they suffer for it anyway in the long term.

We can hardly sustain ourselves right now. Why are we supporting others, and then making it more dangerous for them in the first place?

Ron Paul hates Israel, and Jews in general. This is no secret, as he wants all aid and foreign relations with Israel to end. We don`t need another SCOAMF in the white house.

First off, our education system is terrible and getting worse. It`s certainly not what makes this country great.

Second, what he`s getting rid of is not our education system. It is the flawed, useless, bureaucratic mess that is the Department of Education.

Getting rid of these departments and replacing them with functioning systems is a simple way to fix a considerable amount of problems with our government, including the absurd tons of money spent on nonsense.

This video is ridiculous, at any rate. Bringing up something from twenty years ago that he`s affirmed multiple times over the years that he didn`t read, didn`t write and disavows entirely is just fishing for negativity. Like burbclaver said, if this is the worst they`ve got on him, he`s doing considerably better than the rest of the trash running for office.

What the hell was that at the end of the interview? She was sorry she had to ask tough questions? The media is in the pockets of the politicians. What is going to happen when he is president - he will still have the media in his pocket. And you can bet he will be president. Americans are stupid enough to believe him.

Department of Housing and Urban Development: HUD’s mission is to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. Without this organization, all progress in trying to solve the homeless/starvation in this country goes out the window.

Department of Commerce: The goal of The DoC is to promote job creation and improved living standards for all Americans by creating an infrastructure that promotes economic growth, technological competitiveness, and sustainable development.

Department of the Interior: "The U.S. Department of the Interior uses sound science to manage and sustain America’s lands, water, wildlife, and energy resources, honors our nation’s responsibilities to tribal nations, and advocates for America’s island communities." Essentially, all our natural wildlife preservation goes out the window without this organization.

Department of Energy: The mission of the Energy Department is to ensure America’s security and prosperity by addressing its energy, environmental and nuclear challenges through transformative science and technology solutions. So without this organization, oil companies will get to run themselves without any moderation. Our nuclear plants will have no standards to be upheld to. The energy crisis would get worse.

It`s just Ron Paul seems to me to be an anarchist. Rather than face the problems with the system, he just wants to get rid of the system. Let government fall apart and have the country fall into its natural disorder.

Department of Education: Which Establishes policies related to federal education funding, administers distribution of funds and monitors their use. Collects data and oversees research on America`s schools. Identifies major issues in education and focuses national attention on them. Enforces federal laws prohibiting discrimination in programs that receive federal funds. Essentially, without this department the entire education in this country falls apart. There will be no more public schools.

"I would probably leave the country if Ron Paul was President. He wants to get rid of some social services that make this country great, such as our EDUCATION SYSTEM."

A Ron Paul Presidency would be a dead duck so you wouldn`t have to go anywhere. If he tried to do anything he said he would the Republicans in Congress would ditch him and team up with the Democrats to block all his initiatives. It could be the most bipartisan Congress we`ve ever had united in their common hatred of this Libertarian upstart.

@ggolbez,
because he want`s to get rid of govt departments doesn`t mean he want`s to get rid of education. he`s getting rid of excessive govt spending, which will put money back in your pockets. we don`t need the govt holing our hands for everything. try being dependent.

I don`t understand what the media has against Ron Paul. Both Conservative and Liberal news stations seem to have a strong bias against him.

I think he was totally justified in stopping the interview. By the end she wasn`t even asking him any questions, she was just trying to get him angry. Ron Paul don`t take no poo from anyone!

Big difference. America educated its kids long before this wasteful government department existed.

I am a pretty hard core leftist, but CNN is in the wrong here. I have no idea what this subject is referring to, though. Ron Paul could have signed off on Newsletters that said, "Death to all non-Christians and they should be horribly tortured". CNN is digging too deep with no real evidence or direct questions about the issue in order to sully that persons name.

"It`s our job to ask these questions," No. It`s you job to be a journalist and get facts and report the events of the day. Not to conjure and constantly try to make people look bad for ratings.

All this said, I would probably leave the country if Ron Paul was President. He wants to get rid of some social services that make this country great, such as our EDUCATION SYSTEM.
