Adorable, but the music made it seem like they were ... invading.

we got a dog, partly because i was scared of them... Typical English thinking. But seriously, it was the best thing that we ever did, i now love dogs and its even kept my lazy brothers fit aha :)

That said, most people would have returned them. I didn`t because I simply didn`t like the thought of them probably being confined to a bowl and dying from the ammonia they produce.

(Anyone disputing the care requirements can read THIS first for a very basic overview of it. I don`t want to hear DURRR HURR THROW THEM IN A BOWL stupidity.)

Cute as all hell, but buying people animals as gifts is a terrible idea, like Tetra said. Under certain circumstances, maybe (Eg, getting your child a dog for Christmas, knowing you will be it`s caregiver) but the vast majority of the time? No. Just no. I`m into aquariums and once someone bought me 10 common goldfish as a gift. Never mind that my tanks were not suitable (tropicials and marines), never mind it was a species I had no interest in, never mind I had no room nor quarantine tanks to hold these fish in. They were probably riddled with disease too. Goldfish, commons in particular need 20gal min to grow and live to their potential. I needed to find over 200gal of water, filters and everything for these fish.

In other news, I put them in temperate `tanks` (A big kiddie pool with a filter, actually), treated them for fluked and ick and all the other diseases they were riddled with, and built a pond at my parents for them. They are huge and happy now.

Puppies are awesome for like... an hour, then you get bored and the dog doesn`t magically disappear. Not only is the puppy still there... but now its pooping everywhere, and just chewed on something it shouldn`t have.
Don`t get me wrong, I like animals...when other people own them. :P I`m a visitor, not an owner.
