ok i retract my last comment of her probability of NOT being a stripper. after seeing what her name is, and some of her other videos, (and half her ass), she is definitely a stripper. If i ever saw her at a strip club, i`d totally give her everything i own. she`s hot!

Regarding curry, some people might find this interesting:

Online version of the oldest extant English cookery book, The Forme of Cury.
Response Video from The Land of Curry and Overabundant Procreation.
Despite what it says, that`s not the original video. Or, rather, not the original uploader.

Mallakhamb could also go in as vertical bar gymnastics. It`s derived from martial arts training, although it`s long since split off as a seperate thing.

Odd fact of the day:

Curry is English, not Indian. The word isn`t from any Indian language and is used in India only as a word borrowed from English, if it`s used at all. The food labelled simply as "curry" isn`t Indian either (it`s English), nor is the most popular variation, tikka massala. That`s Scottish. Even the "Indian" dishes (e.g. rogan josh, etc) you get outside of India are usually Anglo-Indian, i.e. Indian dishes modified for English (and thus British and American) tastes.

I think there needs to be a seperation between pole dancing, which is a sex show, and this sort of thing, which is a gymnastics display using a vertical pole. There are recognised gymnastics events using horizontal poles - why not a vertical one? This clearly requires the same degree of strength, co-ordination, balance and training, so why not class it as vertical bar gymnastics?

The dress is a dance dress. That style seems to be very popular for competitive dance these days. I don`t see why it`s popular, but I see why she chose the dress. And damn I wish I could do that. I honestly don`t think it`s slutty at all. (Many guys probably disagree with me on that, but then they`d also have to call half the Cirque du Soleil performers strippers.)

aaaaaaaand finish with the rock paper scissors, that`s some intense move right there

@BritInvasion
Well if they keep insisting it`s to get through school then I guess we`re gonna have to open schools for stripping too.

Amazing how things progress. This used to be, more or less, a hush hush thing. You go into a strip joint and watch some chick to get your rocks off.

Now, its turned it, what can almost be considered, a public sport/event. Will we see it in Olympics one day as a gymnastic event?!

I agree, it is very graceful and requires a lot of physical strength and balance.

She can free fall and catch herself on the pole with only her things, imagine what they`d do to a person. You`d probably be the one unable to walk after sex, on account of having a broken hip.

@Rawrg - I was referring to the video caption more than anything else. I wouldn`t have expected it to be sexy if the comment did not say so.

I have to agree. The entire concept of pole dancing was to see women being provocative and sexy. Considering the prowess, strength, and practice it takes I have no problem considering it a sport but a rose by any other name smells just as sweet.

The little hopscotch dance she did at the beginning was absolutely horrible, so was her dress. After she got on the pole though, all I could think of is "Snack time!"

Very talented, you can tell she`s in great shape.

That being said, pole-dancing is just an excuse for women to be sexy strippers without actually being called a stripper or having to get fully naked.

@sidewyz8: if you listen to the music playing it`s a cute, innocent tune at first, hence why her choreography was cute and innocent.

to all you men out there saying this wasn`t sexy...it`s not suppose to be. if you want to see some s l u t on a pole go to a damn strip club. this is a competitive sport, just like cheer leading is. i was truly amazed at the talent this woman has, and if she ever did end up in a hole-in-a-wall strip club, i bet she`d make more than you every single day!

I wonder why she chose to go with that intro? The act of innocent, child-like behavior just doesn`t go well at all with pole-dancing, even if it is just for sport.

To all the people saying how it`s not sexy:

It`s not meant to be sexy. This is clearly a competition of skill, not a strip club. It`s like complaining about how a WNBA game isn`t sexy enough for you.

The actual pole dancing was as crazily impressive as the preamble was impressively crazy..

I can imagine an actual lap dance going horribly wrong though - nutcracker!

Not explicitly sexy, as one might infer if she were doing a strip pole dance. But she`s attractive, physically strong (although not excessively muscular) and confident. So, yeah... sexy.

One day we may see pole dancing at the World Firefighters Games, alongside `poker`, `tug-o-war`, `wrestling`, `bodybuilding` and `bucket brigade` and `The Hose Run`*.

*despite the innuendo you may infer from the quote marks, these are the genuine events! Look it up.

That IS impressive. Everything else aside, the upper body strength that woman has is incredible! I`m with Squrlz4Sale on this one; Pole dancing should be an Olympic sport. It`d be the first time I`d watch the Olympics...

You`re wrong squid. This woman is far from VERY thin. Linit Masai is VERY thin, but is still an olympian. This woman is simply physically active, as opposed to the vast majority of women you meet daily. Take a look at any female olympian, and they ALL have lower body fat percentages and, generally, lower overall measurements (The sprinters will likely have larger hip measurements) than this woman.

She`s simply healthy. Nothing more.

""Meh. Too skinny."

I`ve never understood the people who disparage healthy-weighted women, and claim that plus-sized females are "real women." "

If you can see bones, that`s not healthy. That too skinny. This one is very thin, but muscular. That makes a difference.

But yeah, this is easily the most entertaining women`s athletics out there. I`ll watch the female swimmer`s and runner`s during the olympics because I appreciate healthy tests of physical limits, but I`d rather watch this any day.

Definitely not. You have to have muscle to pull some of the moves she was doing. Not just skin and bone. She was sexy and had a really nice body.

Particularly when this woman can almost certain squat three times the weight robo can, and probably bench twice what he can.

Pole dancing like this should be an Olympic event, and I`m not kidding. I see as much creativity and athleticism here as I`ve ever seen on the balance beam, for example.
