I think that there are some very talented dubstep artists, but on the whole, the movement is pretty awful. It`s still definitely better than pop music or most popular rap.

Taking a poo makes noise. That doesn`t make it music.

Also applies to pop and rap.

2018: Popular music is reduced to a series of screams, explosions, gunfire, car crash sounds, heavy industry noises and incoherent babbling.
2020: The latest rage is big band music from the 40s. The cycle proceeds from there.

I find it funny when someone defends a type of music by saying "It`s got a good beat".

Well so does a drum machine, doesn`t mean I`m going to hire it to supply music for anything. Which you would be further ahead to use than a lot of today`s musicians, cheaper and sounds better.

From my experience of dubstep, its like any other music, there`s good, theres bad and in the end it`s all down to personal taste. Now go away while this 40 year old listens to some Dodge and Fuski.
