This bill will pass, americans get very pissed off, rest of the world laughs until we get the same treatment. Free speech is smothered and we all lose. Big money will win.

Calling your congressman is so easy, it honestly takes one minute to do so as well; I called my congressman and said,

"Hi, this is __. My area code is _____. I feel that the SOPA And protect IP bills currently in congress can possibly lead to the level of censorship that iran and china currently face, should be stopped."

I don`t see why not just give it a shot...

Exsillium, you see the `could this possibly become the law?` section- at least two of those logos are multi-national record companies who are losing a f*ckton of money due to piracy. This bill would block access to (I imagine) most torrent/illegal download sites, thus generating more revenue for the record companies, in theory

This would be the time to start protesting, or lobbying against it. If it passes it will be that much more difficult to get rid of.

You joke now but with the world population increasing as it has, this will inevitably happen.

I`m pretty sure this is one of those things that "works in theory". I feel like it`ll have like 10% impact on piracy, but take out youtube, twitter, reddit, IAB even, as a hefty price.

Either way this is stupid and unconstitutional.

1)don`t freak out, it`s not gonna happen. there have been a lot of these scares brought out in the past 2 years.
2)haha nice infographic...looks like a lot of research went into this. *cough cough*
3)they can`t take down tor. the worse that will happen is users will flood to tor and it`ll be too slow to bother. (its already pretty slow)
    4) they can`t take down digg or facebook or myspace or twitter. don`t be so ridiculous
