So does your party.

Even moreso if he takes the label of libertarian. I have met so many liberals who are libertarian and dont even know it....

OWS aside. Who here understands that a "super-committe" of selected congressmen is unconstitutional and greatly increases the power of these few people and the president?

This does great damage to the checks and balances that were put in place. Legislative, executive, judicial

Yeah. That`ll happen. Considering the retards you call "adults" vying for that position Obama is a shoe in. Your party`s only hope is Ron Paul and your party treats him like a tool.

I WANT FOOTAGE OF THE ACTUAL LISTENING/DISCUSSION HE OFFERED THE PROTESTERS
Did he listen/discuss at the end of his speech?
This would be interesting a lot of people i think.
Thanks in advance for an answer.
Greetings from Luxemburg.

CrakrJak:"Now that he`s getting blowback from his complacency, in there eyes, he`ll become more and more dismissive and condescending toward them."

In his defense, that`s actually the direction the opinion of most of America is going.

The people are angry. And they`re getting angrier. American government is a failure. It proves this point for me on a daily basis.

madest: You`re just now realizing this ? He was groomed by elitists at Harvard and radicals like Bill Ayers. He`s given passing references to the OWS but doesn`t care one bit about there concerns.

Now that he`s getting blowback from his complacency, in there eyes, he`ll become more and more dismissive and condescending toward them.

"The president not mentioning the protestors or expressing concern of the abusive police actions means he`s not one of the 99%. He is the 1% or the 1% own him. Either way his silence speaks volumes."

Did I miss something or did he not say that he was going to get back too their issue after he finished what he was originally there to do? I believe that he also stated that the protesters could stay, even after the rest of the crowd wants them gone. I really don`t see the reasoning behind your point.

Unless you just mean the fact that he hasn`t talked about it in general, outside of this conference.

Anyways did anybody see the rest of this conference, and whether or not he actually talks about this situation? Im kinda curious what his thoughts are on it, and I guess how he will handle it. Although I imagine he wants to stay away from the issue due to election issues. Thats the problem with diplomacy, among other things...

"Of course Obama supports these idiots. The only way to get re-elected is to make the country worse than it already is and promise more hope and change."

Actually that has been the Republican`s plan since Obama won the election. They immediately started calling it an Obama recession (two months before he was sworn in). And they flat out stated from the beginning that their #1 goal was to make sure he was a one term President. You can`t do that if the economy picks up. The Republican leaders are very much responsible for dragging this thing out. That is un-American. You don`t put party before the country.

Gerry,
I agree, but you forgot about the part where unwillingness to compromise also causes a ridiculously bloated budget.

@ bentley22
"I`ll listen to you, you listen to me"
is the art of compromise. Congress and Senate are in gridlock because neither side will compromise one iota. Even the Super Committee {which I`m not sure is even legal} is gridlocked 6 to 6.

This "my way or the no way" has brought the government to a screeching halt at a time when we desperately need effective leadership. THAT is why I think Obama is lame, he can`t even rally his own party. But at least he is willing to compromise, which is something.

More on topic: it`s about time. OWS shouldn`t be protesting on Wall St, they should be protesting in DC. The people on Wall St are just doing their jobs. The people in office are not. If OWS was in DC, and only DC, they wouldn`t have pretentious idiots getting on camera saying "I want free stuff on your dime, but hell to you if I`m going to pay for something for you."
Their protest would then be more focused and probably get more support from within the nation.

Yes CaptKangaroo, but thanks Reagan`s "misguided" policies, and Bush Sr. extending those policies, we had a huge economic boom in the 90`s, during Clinton`s years. A boom where sheeple believe was all of Clinton`s doing. That boom didn`t just happen overnight, ya know.

You (probably) blame Bush Jr for some of the economic trifles of today, and I would agree, claiming that the fall of the economy doesn`t happen overnight yet you won`t acknowledge that Clinton did nothing in office.

"I`ll listen to you, you listen to me"... that`s why he is ineffective as president. He always wants to be pals with everyone. Ronald Reagan would have said, "Shut Up" to huge applause.
