Nazi-Naming Parents Lose Custody Of Newborn

Submitted by: kitteh9lives 5 years ago in Misc

Their other 3 children were taken 2 years ago. Is it right to take children based on what parents choose to name them?

"How are people missing the fact that the children were removed because of domestic violence? The stupid names just get a mundane case on the news."

The names ARE a case of domestic violence btw. How do you expect children with such names to have a normal life ????

Names are important. So choose wisely. These children may be outcast because of their parents brilliancy. In the end, if you don`t have much, at least you have your good name. ;)

"Naming your kid Mohammad, Gaddafi, Adolph Hitler is just asking for there child to be bullied through life, it`s harder for the kid to excell in education when there is bias judgement based on names"

Mohammed?? Are you kidding? That`s one of if not the most popular name in the world! It`s like saying we should ban the name John because some dude called John was a bit of an idiot. Your ignorance is astounding.

Naming your kid Mohammad, Gaddafi, Adolph Hitler is just asking for there child to be bullied through life, it`s harder for the kid to excell in education when there is bias judgement based on names, it`s already happening to alot of people who are named after muslims, and other popular negative inconvient names in history. If your last name was kennedy, people would assume you are related to the Kennedys and you have a family curse on you because of that name. But seriously, wake up, if you named your kid Osama Laden / Binladen. People would really be irritated. Don`t name your kid after your terrorist heros. It`s just plain stupid. You want your kid to excell and someday become president and bring true change.

Yes, domestic violence is the excuse used, but Child`s Services OFTEN return kids to unspeakable conditions, so the real reason is: they`re Nazis.

Warning: Not for the faint of heart, it`s a sickening story of horrific abuse. Even more sickeing is hearing a defense lawyer calling it "horseplay"...

Anyhow, this precious little girl was returned to her mother, way to go CFS!

It had nothing to do with the names...good lord. The problem with our culture is that we hear only the parts of something we want to hear...honestly, if you actually listen to the whole thing, it becomes obvious.

Being a Nazi isn`t illegal. They shouldn`t have lost custody.

If the government can conclusively prove that physical harm is coming onto the child by the parents hand, by all means, take them away.

I imagine the kids wouldn`t have been taken away if they were named "Franklin Delano Roosevelt". Even though I think FDR is one of the most evil presidents in history, as long as no physical harm was coming onto the child, I would fight to my death for their right to name him that.

Besides, he can always change his name when he turns eighteen, or insist that people refer to him by something that isn`t his legal name.

You can name your kids whatever you want, but there should be consequences if that name is gonna be seriously detrimental to the kid`s future. And before someone mentions Shaniqua or Starchild or something like that, those names are in no way guaranteed to have that effect. Names that obviously represent racist ideologies are, wand that ladies and gentleman, is abuse.

p.s. These parents of the year wanted Publix to put "happy Birthday Adolf Hitler" and swastikas on a birthday cake in a red, black, white and gold fashion.

You won`t hear me complain about someone naming their kid that. I am not offended. I do however think that the parents are morons for naming the kid that. But the minute a parent can not name their child anything they want we have officially lost all freedom.

A good portion of the world is named after a child molester. If Muhammad is an ok name, Adolf Hitler is fine, too.

The violence in the home, though, is a good reason to take the kids.

I don`t agree with the names, but taking their kids away for it is wrong. They should go to federal court over this.

Personally I`d rather live next door to a child named Adolph Hitler than have to sit at a table in a restaurant next to somebody`s precious spawn of Satan named Tiffany or Hunter or Madison or Tyler.

f I had been the person writing the names on the birth certificate, I would have just laughed and said no, then tell them to chose a new one. I hope the nurses at least said something to the parents about how horrible they are.

The last time my mom had a kid, we wrote the name on the paper ourselves. I don`t think nurses write the names out now.

Here in Holland there`s laws as to what you can call your children (when you register them at birth). However, it doesn`t stop people from giving their kid the legal name `John` and then naming him Hitler at every other occasion.

Does the US have laws for that too?

Why is it that people can`t simply disagree with someone anymore? Instead, people have to try to make the actions of other people illegal if it offends them.
And to Brassbull, why do your feelings and perceptions have to be considered when these people name their child?

Maybe the authorities can find a clause that negates your parental rights if it can be shown that you`re a complete as*hole. In this instance, case closed.

In reality there is really only like 2 or 3 times in history where you should step in an do anything about the names chosen for children. Just 2 or 3 out of the vast span of human history. It`s the complete exception and not the rule. But in the history of mankind, there are going to be 2 or 3 instances where something really needs to be done.
A know someone who is in jail for murder and rape. His name is Jose Garcia. No one can name their kid Jose Garcia now.
If that name became synonymous with rape and eventually stigmatized to the point where no one was naming their kids that, then I`d be OK with it.

It`s not the babies fault the parents are embeciles. You don`t name your kid a name that grabs negative attention, they are just asking for there child to get bullied through school, the teachers, the principle, the students would bully him if his name was Adolf Hitler. No joke!

If the baby grew up as adolf hitler, he would be dead before becoming an adult. Alot of people hate Adolf Hitler because of the holocaust. So in a way it`s to prevent bullying.

I`m ok with the names, however heinous it may sound, it`s just a name, provided that the kid has the right to change it should they wish it once they come of age. Sure, you`ll make the kid`s life hell going through school, but again, it`s just a name. On the other hand, raising a child in a violent household? Nope. You might be thinking that naming someone something like that would automatically count as "violence" or "abuse" but there is actually no firm connection there.

Regardless, the two go hand in hand in this case and so there is no moral dilemma. The only case wherein I`d have to question my values, or anyones, would be if they chose to name their son Adolf Hitler, but were otherwise a peaceful and loving family... but what are the chances of that?

These parents have a First Amendment right to name their children something dumb as political speech. They don`t have the right to create a dangerous environment for children, which they were doing. It`s not their names, it`s the damned domestic abuse of the husband.

I am ever amazed at the sheer level of stupidity that parents can sink to. Does it never occur to parents to do what is right for the kid? Not make a political statement out of their name. Not choose their career over the wellbeing of their child. You know...those "sacrifices" we hear rumor of that parents today seem incapable of.

It is not uncommon for child services to remove a new born from a family that has other children in foster care. My family took in foster kids when I was a teenager, and we had a set of siblings. Their parents were going to have another baby, and they were told, before she even went to the hospital, that the newborn would be placed in foster care. They lost custody of the child before it was born.

I don`t know the details of this family, so I can`t say if they deserve to have their children removed or not, but I did want to point out that this situation is not uncommon.

If the children are in danger then absolutely they should be taken away. But if there`s no clear and present danger, then no. If your gonna take children away because of foolish names their parents gave them, then start with the celebutards first.See how long it lasts then.
