    Not the hardest one I`ve seen.

    The hardest one I`ve ever seen had no straight edge, was two sides, die cut from both sides and was a picture of a polar bear in the snow, 10,000 pieces as well.

    Actually a non-uniform arbitrary pattern like that leads to many very unique sections and would make this pretty easy.

    Thelonius is spot on - a much more difficult puzzle would be all one color, with only slightly dissimilar pieces.

    I had one called Mirror Mirror that was all silver 2000 pieces and 30" in diameter. Took me 2 months.

    DixxyRarr: It took 4 of us a month to figure it out, we then framed it. Was quite a conversation piece.

    That`s nothing. Gave my gramps one once which was 5,000 pieces. Of a pic of a lot of baked beans. That was double sided. With the flip side reversed 90 degrees.

    He still nailed it in 2 weeks.

    Was into jigsaw puzzles once and did a Jackson Pollock called "Convergence". Looked like the one pictured. Took a while.

    I don`t know why anyone has a hard time with puzzles. Only one piece works in any spot. Try it and it doesn`t work... Next. If you pay attention you can tell immediately when you see a piece that it`ll work or not.

    Jackson Pollack puzzle: you can put together 350 different ways and no one can tell if you did it right.

    @mithraela

    Not always, I`ve tried some where there are at least 10 pieces that match up with the others, only the coloring is just a little TOO off to be right.

    Annoying as Heck.

    There is a puzzle titled infinity. It is solid green and completely reversible. It beats this in a tough competition any day.

    It`d take more skill to put the puzzle together than it did to make the painting, and puzzles require skills about at the level of weeding the garden.
