I love it, a liberal`s paradox. Do you take away his freedom to choose how he does business and in turn put more concealed handguns on the street? Oh man, A leads to B leads to C leads to A!

@Draculya, If you would, refer to my previous post that highlighted the several areas where the State of Texas leads the Nation and in some instances the world. Let me reiterate, Texas had a gross state product of $1.332 trillion, the second highest in the U.S.
Texas`s GSP is comparable to the GDP of India or Canada, which are the world`s 12th and 11th largest economies, respectively. Texas` economy is the fourth-largest of any country subdivision globally, behind England (as part of the UK), California, and Tokyo Prefecture.
So in closing, no I would not say Texas is an average/middling kind of State. You should probably stick to worrying about Europe because you don`t know what you`re talking about.

You know, all you people who agree with this moron and believe in ethnic or political discrimination should all just move to Iran or China. Hell, I think Old Jong-il has room for more backwards thinking neanderthals in N. Korea...go there.

They would love to have people who think so similarly to them.

You should go join the Taliban, because I am sure your views on women have only minor differences.

And fwiw, though it should have no bearing on the weight of an opinion, I do own two handguns. I carry them everyday because of where I work and the nature of my business. I see no need to carry like I am rambo, so I carry a simple .32 revolver.

And he does make a point. You had what...a year and a half to decide who to vote for? You chose Obama? How the heck is he going to teach you to make what could be a life and death decision in a matter of seconds if you`ve already proven that you can`t make a reasonable decision given hundreds of days.

Do some research, Texas is the largest exporter of goods in the United States. Texas grosses more than $100 billion a year in trade with foreign nations. We have the second largest airport in the country and fourth largest in the world (DFW). Dell`s headquarters are located in the suburbs of Austin. Texas is a global leader in the energy industry and Houston is the energy capital of the world. The Texas Medical Center, located in southwest Houston, is the largest medical center in the world. The list goes on. Needless to say your completely idiotic statement was totally unfounded. You have fun living in China, life is great where I`m

I think he`ll definitely fall foul of the law for specifying non-Christian *Arabs*, as opposed to all people who aren`t Christians. That puts it under anti-racism laws in the USA, right?

The rest is refusing custom on the basis of politics and religion, both choices that people make. That choice is what makes it different.
"Defend yourself".

Guns are not shields. They can not block. They can only attack.
Which can be used as a form of defence:

i) If you kill your enemy, you prevent them harming you - that is defence.

ii) If you threaten to kill them in a manner that is convincing enough for them to believe it and to fear you enough to be too scared to harm you, that is also defence.

So while it`s true that all you can do with a gun is kill or threaten to kill (or shoot targets for sport, but that`s obviously irrelevant in this context), those things can be defensive.

Political correctness is drated.

Yes, you can say Arab, Middle Eastern, African, Asian etc. are not races and I should be able to discriminate against whoever I want- but then why are we (humans) always dealing with "racism" and affirmative action issues with "black" people? However you want to say it- black people, African Americans, etc- are not a race. White people are not a race. Caucasian is not a race. There isn`t even an international consensus for what race means, beyond the fact that we are all part of the human race. Nevertheless anytime someone is discriminated based on their physical appearance, ethnicity, heritage etc, we call it racism.

Oh- you aren`t concerned about their appearance, ethnicity, heritage etc? You say you really only care about their religion? And that is less offensive/illegal how?

I would be more than happy to instruct an intelligent law abiding citizen how to safely handle and operate a firearm. My personal favorite concealed carry weapon is a Springfield 45 cal. Custom Champion. It`s much easier to kill someone with a car, and that`s a fact that is proven every day, and yet they still give out drivers licenses to anyone. Guns don`t kill people, bullets do, as do bottles of Jager and texting while driving. Responsibility is what separates right from wrong and me from most of you folks.

Just because you don`t understand the law or dislike the law doesn`t make it invalid.

Muslim is not a race, and Liberal is not a race. Also, you have the laws correct about interstate commerce, but this issue is not about that either, and this is absolutely an issue of free speech, but when you compare apples to oranges, and try to place laws where they do not belong because you don`t like someone`s opinion, that is called oppression my friend.

Snakecharmer, firstly this is not a Freedom of Speech issue.

And secondly, his business is covered in title 2 under Congress`s Constitutionally given right to regulate interstate commerce. (Insert "read it sometime" boomerang here).

This is what prevented businesses in the south from denying services to African Americans purely on the basis of race. Before this a little black girl who had to go the bathroom could be denied use of a restroom in an establishment and would be forced to pee in a jar her parents kept in their car. Before this, black patrons to a hotel or lunch counter could be turned away because of their race.

Don`t mess with this most noble law bro, it`s a Sacred Text.

The thing that most people do not understand is that laws were put in place to keep government from meddling in peoples business, and to allow people to do things like this, and to allow people like you to disagree with him. Freedom of speech. Check out the Constitution sometime.
