Link: First Lab-Grown Burger, Coming Right Up - Cultured meat could be one of many long-range solutions to food shortage. So what`s for lunch, I-A-B?

No. I would prefer to slaughter something than to eat something like this. If that option is taken off the menu, death is preferable to becoming a vegetarian.

except you know, it would be easier to have a ducking cow in a third world country than a high tech lab and 2.5 millions rands per burger

"It`s simple maths. We have to come up with alternatives." like making 2 cows drat to get a third/fourth/fifth?

How does that help reduce the amount of land needed for the cows or the amount of food they eat or the amount they belch and fart out greenhouse gases? That`s what we need an alternative to.

I`d eat it, if they can get it down to a reasonable price and make it taste OK. On paper, it should eventually be cheap.

    Soylent green is cows!

    Hmm...not quite the same.

Although the same process could be used to grow human flesh for consumption. That would raise some new ethical issues.
