SmagBoy1: What`s different between dubstepping and beatboxing? Just styles?

Dubstep is a form of electronic music made with computers even though you could get the exact same product by turning a blender on and off.

I am hep to lots of current music. OK Go, Cage the Elephant, Tom Jones. But what that guy was doing was noise. I have a lot of musical experience...I`ve phucked a lot of musicians in my day, so I would know.

When I was young and they packed me off to school and taught me how not to play the game. I bought a guitar to punish my Mom and found out that we`re pretty vacant and we don`t care.
Now they consider Guitar Hero and Beatbox/Dubstep viable? I can`t wait to join Andy Rooney or have an asteroid directly hit the Earth.

Anyone saying it is noise are like the old farts that said the same thing about rock music when it first made its appearance in the 50`s. Its a close minded opinion which really couldn`t be farther from the truth. Just because you don`t like it, doesn`t mean its the same or should be the same for others.

As a professional musician, I can safely say that, in no way, does this resemble music, any more so than a dripping faucet does. It takes the same amount of talent and has the same musical qualities.

You kids can sit back and call us old all you want to. But that still doesn`t make this music. The problem is, there are far too many idiots around, claiming anything with a beat is music and it isn`t. Simple as that. There really is no correlation between this and other generations music because other generations had music (like it or dislike it) and all this has is noise and a computer generated beat.

I hated the 90`s grunge stuff, but at least it was still music and took some degree of talent to preform.

I enjoy dubstep, and I think this guy is talented in the way he can REPLICATE ELECTRONIC MUSIC WITH HIS VOICEBOX.

Whether you dislike dub or not, say it`s talentless, give this guy credit for replicating something that requires strong vocal muscles (cheeks, throat, voicebox, lungs). I believe it would be easier to replicate a 4 chord rock song than be able to preform this.

Also @gerry, musicians aren`t hard to phuck nowdays, nothing is hard to ph
