Nice idea. Although here in Greece I`d be more likely to achieve a result with an air horn and tear gas.

Live in Europe long enough and you get used to quickly moving over for those things so as not to get run over by a bike (and clearly the same is true for Japan), and, too, because bikes are so much more ubiquitous there. So, why not use one when you`re not on a bike if you`re a fast walker? Cool. :-)

I think I`ve seen this before but it`s still funny. I wonder what they think when they realize he`s just a guy holding a bell.

In my part of the USA, people would be like: "Whats that noise?" then just get run over while trying to figure it out. I can`t even remember the last time I heard someone use a bike bell.

This will NOT work in the US, noone there will know what that noise means, and will not instinctively react to it like in europe or asia.

This also wont work in the US because the citizens there are too fat to get out of the way.

This wouldn`t work in Cornwall because side-stepping like that might cause some of our pasty filling to fall out.

This wouldn`t work in Chicago. People would just stop dead in their tracks and turn to see what the noise was.
