Still going to vote for him. Whether what he did years ago are true or not, he has a plan I believe in to fix the economy. Hell, we had a President get a blowjob in the Oval Office itself.

She says this happened 12 years ago (1997), she has no evidence and we are supposed to believe her on her word alone.

Sorry, but it sounds this woman is trying to hop onto the train of the original accusation against Herman Cain. I`m wondering, what is she being paid for this revelation ?

Yes you had, but those bj`s were consensual. So cheating or sexual harassment are basically the same thing to you?

The 999 plan is ridiculously stupid. I can`t believe there are actual people of voting age who think it`s a good idea. xD

She doesn`t really have proof for this, but he did have sexual harassment claims made against him that he doesn`t deny so it`s believable imo. Anything to keep this idiot out of office is fine to me...

@LillianDulci, I`m sorry we can`t agree. Unlike you, though, I won`t resort to saying your opinion is stupid. I think one 9% tax for everyone and everything is the best way to go.

    9% $100k = $9k
    9% $1M = $90k

The guy who makes 10x`s as much pays 10x`s as much tax. It`s fair. Period.

@TruTenrMan: Because, if these allegations are true, it shows that Cain is a scumbag who tried to force women to have sex with him.

Not only that, but he also allegedly settled thus skipping jail or any judicial intervention whatsoever, which made him think he "got away free", only slightly poorer.

Honestly, you wouldn`t want a guy like that as your president. And I agree with LillianDulci, his 999 plan doesn`t make any sense.

The problem here, as with all similiar snafus that have affected politicians over the years, is that they just won`t own up to it. Cain blamed the "liberal media" for bringing up allegations of sexual harrasment, then he blamed the Perry campaign. Problem is, these aren`t allegations, it`s factual events. He should have just stuck to the truth from the beginning.
"Yes, some women harrasment suits against me, it was settled per pretty standard procedure for things like this, terms of settlement prevent me from saying discussing specifics.
Now can we get back to discussing my insane new tax plan that would never be implemented and wouldn`t work even if it were?"

@TruTenrMan, It`s a 9% tax on things people buy. Someone might make 10x as much, but unlikely they`re spending 10x as much buying food, gas, clothing, and other basic necessitates on a day-to-day basis.

Not to mention completely overlooking that if sales tax becomes too much of a burden, people will find ways to procure things outside of official, taxable, avenues.

It all leads to true Republican goal of smaller governement and less restrictions on ability of corporations and wealthy to continue to drain wealth from the rest of the world.

    Are you serious?

I might buy a Yaris and pay 1k in takes on it, but Richie Rich will buy a Veyron and pay 180k in tax.

I may spend 15 bucks a day on food, and pay 18 cents in tax, but Richie Rich will spend 150 a day in food, and pay 18 bucks.

What about clothes. I will go to a thrift store and pay NO TAX, and Richie Rich will buy a brooks brothers suit, and pay out the nose.

999 is as close to Fair Tax as we can get right now, so I support it.

Tru - the 999 plan is not a good balance at all because it dispurportionately hurts the lower and middle incomes. it lowers taxes on the rich and raises taxes by as much as 950% on the lower and middle incomes and removes capital gains taxes which also only benefits the rich. while it sounds simple and easy to understand it was not well thought out and has no bearing as sound economics.

TruTenrMan, in addition to what Ruffiana said.. the 9% tax isn`t actually how everything would be taxed. Cain`s plan changes the tax rate of certain things to 0%, and it just so happens that this tax plan benefits the richest people and harms middle class - poor. Check out this site: 9-9-9 plan raising taxes for lower income people

I know the concept of disposable income is foreign to many but I`ll go out on a limb here...

Two people, one making $40k and the other making $1M. The first person lives in an one-bedroom apartment which typically go for $1500 per month. The second is in a large house ($1M loan) in the same area with $4000 per month mortgage payments. Per-diem for food we`ll put at $20 for both which comes out to $600 per month, utilities come out to about $100 per month at bare minimum, for gas about $200 a month.

Cost for the first person per month/year: $2400/$28800
Cost for the second person per month/year: $4900/$58800

Disposable income before taxes (1): $11200
    Flat tax @9% (1): $3600
    Effective tax on #1: 32%

Disposable income before taxes (2): $941200
    Flat tax @9% (2): $90000
    Effective tax on #2: 9.5%

I don`t believe in taxing the rich more and the poor less. If it`s a percentage tax based on income, it`s fair on all sides. Why should someone who works their ass off like I do (and I`m lowish-middle class) to make money have to pay more tax than someone who collects free government handouts and sits on their ass all day?

I think a fair tax is the just that: fair.

The point is that a "flat tax" will cut out larger portions of people`s disposable incomes the less they make versus those who are wealthy. I know that people will go "But the first person still has about $8k left over, what is he complaining about?"

Remember that this is for a single person. Now let`s suppose both of them are single with one child each. The average cost of one child per year is roughly on the order of $7k to $8k thus taking up any surplus funds for person one. In this case the effective "tax" is near 80-100% on the person who makes $40k with one child in southern California. For the $1M person... the effective tax will still remain under 10%.

Realize that people need to spend a baseline amount just to survive. The more a person makes, the more extra they have over that baseline. The current system in place is there to try and even the field so that those who barely have enough to survive aren`t hit with another bu

Here is the problem with whether he sexually harassed these women or not: they are in contempt of court by bring it up. He would also be in violation of court order if he addresses the question.

Yes it seems he is a womanizer who uses power for sex, but does anyone think that it doesn`t really go on in the White House? I mean come on was the Kenneth Star fiasco even needed during Clinton`s administration?

To address why this is all happening I would have to say he`s getting in from both sides. Liberal news outlets are doing it because he`s a Republican, conservative media is bashing him because he is a GOP outsider.

Cain has never been a "major threat to Obama".
It`s way early in the election and if we went by numbers this early in the game, we would have had President McCain, President Gore, President McGovern, etc.

Cain was just the flavor of the week. Romney and Gringrich are running slow and steady. Unless someone new joins in, watch them.

    1. The only people she supposedly told about this were her then-boyfriend, and a "close friend", both of whom are not mentioned by name (whether they have come forward since to "verify" her story, I don`t know).

    2. This whole thing stinks of a smear campaign. In the `08 election, the media ran with the whole "If you don`t vote for Obama, you`re a racist, because he`s black and McCain isn`t" (in fact, they`re still using it). A black conservative is a major threat, because they wouldn`t be able to use that line anymore.

    3. Where`s the proof? ALL we have are unverified allegations by a couple of broads looking for their 15 minutes. When it came be proven, that`s when we should believe it.

    4. Why should this hurt his run for the Presidency, anyway? Bill Clinton did it for years. He lied before CONGRESS and got away with it. Bill is one of the biggest people in the Democratic party, but there`s never any mention of his past anymore

What a woman wears has no bearing whatsoever on the veracity of her sexual harassment claims, unless you are crude enough to assume "she was asking for it." Women have a right to wear whatever they so choose and not be assumed to be giving consent to an attack.

And to all you people asking for proof- there are 6 women all told saying he did much the same to them, men who know him say he usually acts piggish toward women, and a conservative Iowan radio host saying he saw Cain harass at a dinner once.

Or am I to assume your "proof" is the desire to see said boobies for yourself. To dust for fingerprints of course.

P.S Not to mention that for 2 of these women there were out of court settlements arranged in the`90s.

    Gloria Allred is her attorney.

She is instantly devoid of all credibility.

Just to be clear here, his accuser was at a tea party function just last month and was friendly enough with him then to get her picture taken with him and give him a hug.

According to the Chicago Sun Times.

Just to be clear, She`s only one of 5 accusers. Two of which received settlements. Where there`s smoke there`s fire.

@Madest: Not always. See Cam Newton and Auburn. Innocent. There was smoke, but no fire. WDE.

Believe what you want but I`m certain corporate never pays settlement money unless they know there`s guilt.

madest: `Settlements` arise from legal action, there was no legal action taken from the woman at the NRA, an `agreement` was reached with her whereby she left the NRA with compensation.

There was no finding of guilt or innocence, just a mutually agreed to separation.

She has a remarkable memory, all that detail from a night over a decade ago. I`m not a Cain supporter but I have to say this seems fishy.

No madest. Corporations settle out of court, when it saves them money, regardless of guilt.

If they think a settlement will avoid bad PR, or a lengthy court case, then they will just pay off the suing party.

"Herman Cain has no clue on how to treat a woman"

Wow so a woman comes forward 14 years after an "incident", a month after she hugged Cain in public in a friendly way, with a wild story, and it is Cain who doesn`t know how to treat women, rather than this woman who doesn`t know how to deal with reality?

    Madest

You really are naive. That is why you are a socialist, clueless and naive.

If only he had raped her, told her to put ice on her bloody lip or ejaculated on her blue dress, he`d be the Democrats` hero!
