I`ll leave this quote here. Do what you will with it.

I`m not going to vote for either candidate, but I can honestly say that Mississippi has stronger immigration laws than Texas. And as a former resident of Massachusetts, a state that gets immigrante from around the world and not just Mexico, they too have far greater immigration laws.

"@IrishJesus - of course they don`t do background checks, if they did they wouldn`t have had to ask for Obama`s birth certificate."

No they do background tests. The Senate is in charge of that. You have to qualify to be president. You also have to give a resume that includes;

Education History
Medical History
Proof of Citizenship.

Oops. Wait.

This republican line up has to be a joke, right?

Perry`s right @ 57 seconds in, it is the "heith" of hypocrisy.

Yeah yeah, I know it was just a mis-speak, but FFS. Bush 2.0 anyone?

Romney looks like he`s pretty proud of himself. But at least he doesn`t have a Southern accent. After Bush ringing in my head for 8 years, I`m going to need at least another decade before hearing another home-spun shoot from the hip all hat no cattle boot-wearing hick chuckle at me about how his provincial backwater world view is best for people who are smarter, more educated and more successful than him. (Phew...feel better now.)

God, every time I see a debate, its a childish back and forth. I think its time we have somebody with big boy pants run for office.

Ruffiana:"Anyone else find Perry to be eerily similiar to G.W.Bush? It`s not just the dialect, it`s the mannerisms, facial expressions, this sort of vacant slightly-out-of-his-league look about him. "

Have you ever seen both of them in a room at the same time?

@Thetas, "Poorest" is a bit of a stretch, but certainly not the "best in the world" as is oft-touted.

Fact is, there`s not much about America that`s the "best in the world", which is why hearing politicians saying how America is the "greatest country in the world" often irks me. Greatest at what? Consuming natural resources? Sure. Buying poo? Yup. But all of those things that really matter we`ve got lots of room for improvement.
The potential for greatness is there, but we`ve got to stop patting ourselves on the back and actually strive for it and work to maintain it.

I know there are intelligent, well-spoken, charismatic Republicans out there, how did the party end up with this gaggle of misfits?

Debates would be more fun if they were allowed to bring air horns with them. I feel like that exchange would have exhausted a couple cans.

He said Texas has the best health care in the world. Hahaha, drat you, Perry.
We all know the United States has one of the pootiest health care systems around and Texas has one of the worst in our nation, and it got even WORSE under Perry.

Aww that`s cute, they think they have a chance.

Seriously though, this has to be the most completely crazy, nutbar lineup of candidates that I`ve seen in a very long time, possibly ever.

I guess that just goes to show you how unhappy the American people are with the direction things are going so it`s bringing out all the people will crazy ideas.

Now if we could only get GOOD crazy ideas.

True, but if I had to pick between then, I`d choose Romney. He seems merely inadequate, as opposed to retarded.

Perry is against hiring illegals? But he wants to pay for their college education making them more employable!

California hasn`t had an increase because we stopped counting. Los Angeles and San Francisco have declared themselves "Safe Harbor Cities" for illegals. They banned cops from check status of anyone, even criminals.

They were all laughable, with clowns like this, Obama will walk into the White House easily.

Additionally, Bachmanns Michael Jackson inspired uniform was hilarious!!! Who on the Bachmann campaign thought "Yeah go with that, it looks great!" Obviously goes to their perception of reality, namely, skewed!!
