A demonstration of an interesting magnetic property. What would Insane Clown Posse say about this?

Not new to me, but honestly it`s the best presentation of the principle I`ve ever seen.

Yeah, because this is totally about quantum physics.

Does that really work?

Do they sell LN2 at the 7-11?

I once had a job as a quantum mechanic.

I ate a quantum sandwich today, cuz you know, saying quantum before anything makes it way better, even when it has nothing to do with quantum mechanics, but the meisser effect sucks, just as meisser sandwiches

lyonartime,
It`s safe to touch things at that temperateure unprotected for short periods of time. Notice he is never in contact with it for more than a second.

Extremely low temperature superconductors have been here for 30 more year. I guess it`s a matter of years to making a functional hoverboard. Just have to get me a pair of nike`s...

Justin: IF they ever get room temp. superconductors hoverboards will the least of the inventions made. They would quite literally save so much electricity and make motors and machines so efficient, because there would virtually be no load loss, that you could hold an electric charge in a coil of wire, like a battery, nearly forever.

Hoverboards here we come. Get that superconductor to room temperature and we`re golden!

I`m a physicist doing a MSc in Physics and though I knew about it, I still haven`t seen the explanation for this... maybe that`s just cuz I haven`t looked to hard

So all he`s done is taken something we`ve known about for decades and renamed it "quantum locking" to sound cool.

This is nothing new and he`s an idiot if he thinks this will fool anybody who knows anything about superconductors.
