"Fear, by its very nature, is the most rational thing there is. Being afraid of getting bitten by a poisonous spider, of being eaten by a wild animal, of falling and dying/breaking your bones, is very very rational. If we werent scared of stuff, we would wuite simply be dead.

Phobias on the other hand are irrational. By definition, since they are simply irrational fears.

Being afraid of spiders that you dont know for example, is a very rational fear. The spider might not look like much, but its bite could kill you. Very rational fear keeping humans and other animals alive since millions of years.
Now on the other hand, if you know a certain type of spider isnt venimous, but are still afraid, thats a phobia. Arachnophobia to be precise."

I second this.

No.

I already posted my comment on youtube but he`s not a coward. He`s facing his fears unlike most people. And this is probably what he sees:

I am terrified of these dogs as well!

A teeny tiny dog can be more viscious than a Pit Bull.

The Pit Bull is just more capable of doing something about it!

auburnjunky-"The Chihuahua comes to mind."

Amen. I don`t think Chihuahuas classify as dogs. They`re really rats on acid.

I realized a long time ago that the smaller an animal of a Family (biological usage there), the more high-strung (or pissed off) the animal is.

A Chihuahua is much meaner than an Irish Wolfhound.

A Shetland Pony has more attitude than a Quarter-horse.

Short men are angrier than tall men (napoleon complex).

Personally, I think it has to do with the fact that in each case, the brain is too close to the @$$hole.

Sloppy1-"Yupp he is a coward"

I`m sorry, but I don`t consider anyone willing to face his fear as a `coward`.

Fear, by its very nature, is irrational. One can no more control what they are afraid of as they can the color of their eyes.

I`ve had girlfriends afraid of clowns, dogs and even ducks. At no time did I ever make fun of it.

My wife is afraid of small crawly things. But she`s also shoved her hands inside a man`s chest to save his life. Do you think I`d call HER a coward?

There are many dogs that are more inherently evil than a pit bull. The Chihuahua comes to mind.

Pit bulls are just strong, so if you act like an ass and piss one off, you`ll get what`s coming to you.

I completely understand this guy`s fear, pitbulls can be nasty.... but then so can any animal which has evolved as a carnivore!

Although pit bulls can savage someone to the point of needing hundreds of stitches and worse, so can any dog. Pit bulls are only mean and vicious if they`re trained to be. You`re not going to hear on the news about the millions of pit bulls that are nice and friendly because it`s not news.

Well they are blonde and seemingly somewhat attractive and they probably come from California. Of course they are bitches.

That fear is perfectly rational if he watched his friend get chewed up by a pit bull when he was 5.

This wasn`t funny. I really feel bad for the guy, he clearly has had some traumatic experiences in his past.

Oh god, if it was a spider instead of a dog I couldn`t do it. I could not touch a spider. I wonder how bad his phobia is. I flip the f uck out when even seeing them across the room.

"You have to touch the dog before you leave, I`m sorry."

While this entire thing is ridiculous, blonde bitches on reality TV shows piss me the drat off. The idea of, "I control this situation, I am controlling you." Like the girl who got hit in the face with a watermelon. The blonde bitch host was like, "No, you don`t need medical attention. You have to finish this challenge, you don`t have a choice."

I want to punch them in the face!
