This is amazing as far as development goes. Babies learning small motor skills is a good thing, no matter what they`re touching. Use yer brains, kids - by the time this little one is up and in the workforce, keyboards and mice will be a thing of the past.

How dare a baby not know how something works.

The baby wasn`t navigating the ipad, it was playing with the screen. Babies play with things. They act like she knows what she`s doing. Even I sometimes want to touch my computer screen because of using a touch screen at work all day...

Anyway, adorable baby is adorable.

Stupid parent, not stupid baby. If I had money to waste on an iPad I wouldn`t give it to a one year old to play with, one kick and it`s buggered, or she could have dropped it. Poor little deprived rich people, never had a real book in their whole lives, please give generously.

This video is retarded along with the person that posted it here. NO WAY, AN IPAD DOES THINGS IF YOU TOUCH THE SCREEN AND A MAGAZINE DOESNT?

NO WAY! A BABY DOESN`T KNOW HOW TO WORK A MAGAZINE?

I sometimes wonder if the people who run this site are capable of thought.

Yea i highly doubt the baby actually knows what it is doing with the ipad. Its just touching it and things are moving. Then it touches a magazine....It doesn`t know what it is doing or its actions from it. Hell a baby at that age thinks you truly dissappear because it cant see your face if you cover with your hands....

How about we stop video recording our children and start teaching them to read the printed word?

So, someone lets their baby have access to an iPad and lame fashion magazines, and it`s Steve Job`s fault? Meanwhile, the kid is not saying the magazine doesn`t work, she`s testing to see how things work. The video maker is projecting their ideas onto a baby`s action. This is like people who complain when you buy a $100 toy and the kid plays with the box...just give the kid a box.

Girls shouldn`t be reading fashion magazines anyways, they are worst saboteur of female self-esteem ever invented.

she is a stupid baby, she was just pounding whatever they gave her.
And even if this were true its stupid, its like saying a baby raised playing video games didnt know how to play hide and seek, if old technology isnt teached how to use it then how in the duck would they know how to use it

Its also kinda sad nowadays that most teens have a hard time telling time on a regular clock. They can only tell time on a digital one.....blows my mind.

What I took away from this, someone was trying to make a cute tribute to Steve Jobs, and kinda failed.

Then maybe you should show her how to use a real magazine first before you show her that worthless tablet, jackass

so when a baby puts a something in its mouth, food has permanently coded its OS? no, babies learn schema (is this the correct spelling?) they then use it on everything that they find to see if it has the same effect.

this is why they put things in their mouths, or shake it or do as this baby is doing.....

The conclusion was both poor and faulty. Ax to grind, much? But it was cute watching the baby try to navigate the magazine. BTW: Whatever one may think (and everyone is entitled to not buy an iPad) the iPad has utterly changed my life professionally. Everything is so much easier now when interacting with patients and explaining their various conditions, sending them my sketches of their conditions, etc. Thank you, Steve.

That closing remark was dumb, regardless of the person`s opinion on iPads

So cute xD Reminds me of when I watched this show and these guys got this 2 year old kid a pretend laptop. He kept pressing the screen to try to make it do stuff and they had to tell him to use the buttons instead.
