"I will not standby and just watch"
"Take me to jail right now"

That sounds like "If you don`t put me in jail I will stop sitting here and do some poo that will put me in jail!"

Dude... someone wave some watermelon in front of that dude and he will move.

OK all trolling aside, this propaganda video lost credibility as soon as a politician spoke, which was about 1 second into it.

piperfawn - Thanks for that but honestly I wish people would either post the whole video or film the whole thing, theres a whole lot of why`s in those, also that last video, I do like how "peacful" protests usually protray a LOT of yelling, and disorder (From ALL parties)

piperfawn - I also Stated that I wasn`t sure which exact one he was talkin about as well, I also stated that in MOST cases people were fighting in which the use of pepper spray is not excessive force.

illios maybe you don`t know one thing, the officer that spayed the girl got sanction. So as you can see they have judged that action EXCESSIVE FORCE since the girls where not fighting anyone, they where just entrapped in the orange net on the sidewalk and they was just talking, no bazookas, no guns, no molotovs and no fight.

Tisjokar - There are many cases of young people getting sprayed so I don`t know exactly which one you are refering to, but it`s not like she was just walking down the street and a cop did it because he felt like it.

Looked around for a bit in most cases the kids were fighting or arguing with some one, pepper spray is the easiest way to break up a fight, and its NOT excessive force (Also police officers have to be tased AND sprayed before they are permitted to carry it and use it) So, they know what it feels like, and rarley does it ever cause any kind of permanent damage. I`ve had both too btw yes it sucks, but its a temporary pain, so, I really dont share sadness for those it happens to, MOST cases they surely deserve it.
This is the most idiotic comparison video I`ve seen yet.
---------
Seems that`s the superficial sentiment amongst IABers. What you seem to be missing is, the countries like Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Iran don`t have constitutions that allow their citizens to demonstrate. We do.
The fact that OWS looks anything at all like the Arab uprising is shocking. Our leaders bemoan the fate of foreign protesters while ignoring and belittling their own. No deaths have occurred (yet) from OWS. Lets hope that doesn`t happen because the face of the movement would change drastically.

This is the most idiotic comparison video i`ve seen yet.

Libya was run by a corrupt, ruthless dictator who murdered and tortured his own people to stay in power.

The other is just a bunch of self righteous idiots who want everything for nothing and are having a tantrum because people make more money than they do.

OWS has become a joke and will never be taken seriously.

USA it not member of the International Criminal Court. Why? Because it is so much more fun telling everyone what (not) to do than being told what you are not allowed to do.

USA - please don`t preach about morality etc. It`s just wrong on so many levels.

"the police don`t just stroll up and deck some one, it`s usually some one who was asked to stop or move"

Illios, would you mind telling that to the girl under ten who was sprayed by pepper spray.

Or the protesters who had a flash grenade thrown at them for assisting a veteran who had a concussion shot to the face and was put in a critical status.

Intolerance...

We need the UN to establish a No Fly Zone and effect regime change asap.

But honestly, I recognise that`s not going to happen because of the US` Security Council veto. I`d settle for the dissolution of NATO and an end to the Special Relationship.

There are people in the world fighting for equal rights. For the right to life. For the right to not wake up in the night by agents beating down their door and dragging their loved ones away. For the right to walk down the street without getting a mortar shell or sniper round. For the right to be a woman and drive a car or appear in public without a male chaperon.

Then there are the 0.01% camp out buddies.

Sorry, just seems too boo hooey to me, not going to feel sorry for people that bring it on them selves, and I do mean that, the police don`t just stroll up and deck some one, it`s usually some one who was asked to stop or move, or not do something (usually more then once) and all the while just standing there saying "I have the right to" or something, cops are people too, people get pissed off, so it`s a good bet when some one askes you to move and you yell at them that "I can do what ever I want because I have the right to" you will eventually be met with a fist in the face.

but they thing is they`re not being arrested for speaking out against the government but they could, i dont know, be arrested for breaking fire codes, health codes, and other city codes so they can be arrested. so its not the federal government but more the city one.

If poo goes down, Im gonna have a great time looking at the faces of the people who don`t realize how bad things are now. But if it doesn`t, well then I`ll just go on with my life and still have a great time.

Okay, comparing OWS to libya was silly. But the cops were unnecessarily beating the crap out of protesters for quite some time, and still are to some extent

"I have not been read my rights!"

Good, they don`t have to read you your rights unless they are questioning you and intend to use what you say in court, idiot you watch too much tv.
-------

The biggest difference here is the percentage of the population that was fighting in Libya or who supported it and showed their support.

Compare that to what OWS has 312M people in our country, I`d guesstimate (prolly way off) about 30K-50K actively protesting nation wide and it`s safe to assume for every one person actively protesting their are about 7-10 who aren`t. Which brings the total population of this movement equal to the 475K people I rounded down to 312M on.

Don`t ever compare this to an entire country rebelling and being suppressed.

You want change you need people, you want people you need to make them care enough contribute and if you want them to contribute.....TOO BAD

...because this is why you`re fat America.

"I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT OCCUPY WALL STREET IS ALL ABOUT."

It`s not that complicated, really. Are you paying attention at all? Here is the short version:

It`s primarily about people being angry about the growing inequality between the "1%" who `have` and the "99%" who `have not`. It`s about how unfair (and IMO un-american) it is for the rich minority to use money to influence government to make rules that reinforce that inequality.

But it`s about a lot more than that, really. Its about all the ways the government does not really represent the majority.

Yes, I know you don`t care.

This is hilarious. No matter how snappy the editing, you can`t connect the US protests to the likes of Libya, Iran etc. Pure ignorance... oh look, their police ride horses, so do ours!

It wouldn`t make sense for this video to be un-biased; what, they`re gonna show the police tackling a gunman before they show him beating up an OWS protester? There`s a certain amount of truth that western governments are against foreign oppressive regimes when its in their interests to be. There are no foreign allies, only foreign interests.

Look, another anti-police OWS video.

With the same biased opinion on it, with all they spend on photography and video editing, they could actually make a valid point. but alas!

Bias is bad. If i showed you all the GOOD things the Nazi`s did, and none of the bad, I could influence your opinion in this exact same way.
And in the end, it doesn`t show what the truth actually is...

Thats stupid.
Freedom of speech is there so ppl can criticize those who dont think like we do.
Theres no economical reason to have freedom of speech for criticizing the current governement.

Freddom of speech against islam, communism, and for capitalism is critical to our wars, but you always have an always will be treated like a terrorist if you criticize the capitalist governement that is in place.

It works like that all over the place too. Think ppl in islamic countries dont have free speech? Think again, they are free to go on the streets and protest against america, or christianity, and so on.

Governements always allow free speech, as long as you are speaking out against someone else than them, or speaking so quiet no one can hear you. Thats a fundamental right.
