That video was pointless. They could have actually played the audio of the interview of the couple instead of focusing on 2 minutes of people screaming "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" as they announced their names.

Oh come on, give the guys a chance! It`s not really fair for a girl to win in a boy`s category. They weren`t up for "cutest couple." That would be like entering your cat into the "Dog Show" competition. If they weren`t going to restrict "King" for boys and "Queen" for girls, then they might as well just call it, "The 2 Most Popular Kids in School" competition.

Win that award. It`s a high school title, who cares. Also, it`s vote based, if people want to bitch then bitch at the student body. How petty to make such a huge deal out of a silly high school event.

Even if the school indicated they had to write a males name they would have written it this way anyways. Then what, the school willingly ignores most of the student body and picks the runner up thereby pissing off and potentially ruining the fun for everyone. poo on the many for the sake of a few, so typical.

I would vote for lesbians over a straight couple any day, especially if they`re cute. I don`t care if they`re not interested in me, it`s still 2 girls kissing.

Its a bit of a shame that the children of this age are schooling the adults in tolerance, acceptance, and generally seeing people as opposed to lines.

    "it`s still 2 girls kissing."

This over and over again. Being lesbian is totally okay in most of the US. Pretty sure hot lesbian`s are perfectly well received even in Alabama.

It`s the whole penis in a dude`s butt I feel most american`s find "gross"

Most likely voted for by most people for political reasons. They won this contest for the same reason Obama won the presidential race. People were just voting based on making things politically correct, not who they thought embodied the idea of homecoming king and queen the most.

I`m not against a lesbian being a homecoming king. I have a problem with homecoming king and queen contests in general.

All it does is teach young people to descriminate.

Sathon, look at McCain. Older, less well-bodied, shorter, and most importantly, REPUBLICAN.

He would have been too old to be a proper, fully-capable president.

Because he is less fit, he would most likely have found the stress of the job overwhelming.

Psychological studies have shown that people subconsciously vote for taller people, as they instinctively see them as more capable of protecting them.

Finally, republican. The average IQ of all republican presidents there have been since such studies began is 115, with the last two (george bush junior and senior) being BELOW AVERAGE.

The average IQ of all democratic president the have been since such studies began is 150. None have been below 115, the republican average. three have been above 160. Obama is 145. genius level is 135.

In every country except the US, obama had at least 70% support. In the US, however, he had 52% support. That`s because a lot of the american southern state

    The top story? Really?
The police arrested more OWS protestors, there was a great white attack yesterday, and there`s a serial killer shooting cab drivers in San Diego, but the LESBIANS are the top story.

Gerry1of1 shut up. Seriously. Who gives a poo about OWS now? It`s not news, it`s old news. Ok its still going on, but the first ever lesbian couple to get votd king and queen is a nice story. It`s not death, murder war or drating money. So yeah, top story and I like it.

I have no problem with same-sex relationships, but I do think that a "King" must be male. I have no problem awarding them the titles of Homecoming Queens, The Royal Homecoming Couple, or anything like that, but to be a "King" you have to be male.

Then again, People`s "Man" of the year, has gone to women, and to non-human things as well. So, maybe I should just get over it.
