It`s no more insulting to women then when companies sell the same product in pink just for us womenz! Who cares, it`s a dumb ad. It won`t end the world.

--what, i thought it was funny. plus, I drink whatever the f uck I want, no stupid ad agency can brainwash me into one or the other.--

Then they have won. They already know more women will drink it, just because of the fact that it has the low calorie count. If some dude was actually dumb enough to go out and buy this product over this very commercial, you have to know that his wife will drink it all.

Yorkie Bar advert, `Not For Girls` tag that they have on all their packaging, same thing and nobody gave a poo about that.

So what if it is sexist? Who the f*ck cares? This LAMP organization can yell at clouds for all the good it will do. Dr. Pepper designed this ad to target a demographic, that`s all its good for.

i would never hear of this product if it was not so provocative that people would complain about it.

i think the creative department did a good job. i am tempted to buy the product if i ever see it just because of the irony

Had this been the other way round, with women, everybody would have been saying `you go, girl!....empowerment!` check out Marc Rudov`s videos sometime.

Definitely sexist. Because there isn`t any sexism towards men ever, ever.

The creators of this video act like dr pepper is trying to hide the "sexist" parts of the commercial when they are very much out in the open.

I`ve seen this a few time on tv and I think it`s blatantly sexist. I`m all for the fact that men are better than women, that`s a given.. but rubbing it in their faces.. What are they, black?

It`s a very stupid commercial. But not because it degrades women. Actually, that was the best part about it.

I don`t get the deal with it being "just for men"

We`ve had several products advertise for specific genders. As already posted the Yorkie bar advertised that it was not for girls. diet coke ads over here (uk) advertise that it makes guys hot, so women drink it, Old spice makes girls hot, so guys buy it. on and on.

An advert either makes you think and go Hmm! or go out and buy it, both of those do it for me as a girl, and it`d not stop me from buying it.

I found it amusing in a very lame way, which is what it should be taken as. "Calm down dear, It`s only a commercial!"

I am manly. I want to dink this beverage. However, in order to be manly, you must 1. Simplyfy basic arguements for women and gender nuetral hipsters. 2. Stereotype. 3. Hate women drivers. 4. Love a sport more than a step child. 5. Keep a whet stone in your first aide kit. 6. Know the difference between a lager and ale. 7. Be able to multiply anything times 1,000 or 1,000,000. 8. Have a desire to complete 10 manly one handed push-ups. 9. Disagree with with a critique that argues against noone. 10. Love Texas, despite it`s obviously political shortcomings.

Seriously? I can`t believe someone took the time to make this dumbass critique of a commercial. Who cares? Dr. Pepper is delicious.

This is just like Coke Zero. It`s the exact same thing as Diet Coke, but some men think that buying a diet drink makes them less of a man, so coke re-labeled it. The only difference between that and this is Dr. Pepper isn`t even trying to hide it. I vote for stupid.

Wait, i think people are misunderstanding the add campaign. They`re not trying to be chauvinistic at all - it`s a warnings. They`ve been using thalidomide as one of the new ingrediants and they don`t want any women to give birth to deformed kids.

"There are 23 flavors of Dr. Pepper?"

allegedly there are 23 flavouring ingredients IN dr. pepper... though a remarkable facsimile (not to mention lovely way to get faced) can be created with a double shot of sloe gin (or sloe vodka) and amaretto a bit of simple sugar, a little cinnamon syrup and fizzy water.
i count five ingredients. then i fall over.

IDC what they say - that was a great commercial - it was sarcastic, and it over-generalized - but it was supposed to be that way!

I hate advertisements - and this makes fun of them - and it`s an ad - it`s a paradox - and i love that =D

Everyone who doesn`t like this commercial because it`s for men needs to eat poo and die. Men need a disposable product. Women have tampons and sex in the city. We men have Dr. Pepper and lotion. Ours are just have more purpose.

"When`s the last time a diet soda was marketed to men?"

This, I think illuminates a hidden drive in this commercial. Why indeed would dudes worry about a few extra calories in their drinks? They wouldn`t. Not really. That`s too much of a chick thing actually. Until now.

Congrats menfolk, you have now unwittingly joined your female counterparts in the great Body Image Wars.}-)

I would also add that of all of the diet sodas I`ve tried, I remember Diet Dr. Pepper as being the one that tastest most like the regular soda. I`ve often wished that soda companies would make "light" versions of their sodas that was exactly the same formula, but with 1/2 or 1/4 of the sugar content. No added artificial sweetners, just less syrupy sweet versions with fewer calories.

I`m more annoyed by the list of where, why, and how it`s bad, as if it were trying to be serious.
Excluding that, it is a little lame, seems like it`s trying to be the old spice commercial, especially with the random `Catchprase!`
