Which begs the question: What will last longer? Protesters or police budgets?

AMERICAN COPS HAVE TOO MUCH POWER. They have no fear of the protesting mob, and the mob has no balls whatsoever. How dare you allow them to just walk up on you like that? Where is the hail of stones and firebombs? Where are the expertly wilded flag-poles turned into light sabers? Weak ass protest. Good job though, better than nothing.

I live in Chicago and work in downtown Chicago. I can honestly say that I see Chicago cops acting like idiots on a daily basis. They "enforce" laws at their own discretion. Laws which they, themselves don`t bother to abide by most of the time. Most of Chicago cops are opportunistic bullies and nothing more.

"even if they are working in 2 of the most dangerous cities in the country."

My statistic states 80% of male cops have wangs measuring four inches or less. Which is why they`re angry.

Sounds about as accurate as yours.

The cops were just doing their jobs. The protesters were trying to protest and camp in spots that were considered illegal.

Also, I will pretty much always agree with what police do. Having two brothers as officers in Chicago and Rockford, IL. I don`t get where people see this God complex in all of them. Most I meet are very cool guys that just love their jobs, even if they are working in 2 of the most dangerous cities in the country.

@thejanitor86, They were peaceful up until this point. I support them being violent, that way they will actually get there point across.

"we are peaceful" as we scream obscenities in your face. i would say that the police in this situation were pretty calm compared to some of the stuff we have seen.

They ask for tear gas because it makes good film.

Of course there not on your side, your dirty hippies. There on the side of tax payers, I don`t think these people have jobs.

This is what pisses me off, they are obviously lying and misleading the viewers, no tents my ass. Stupid kids with no clue wtf their even doing there.

FFS their sell outs now cause they have a paying job, f*ck off already. This is just getting retarded.

Maxx, I agree totally. I`ve had several encounters with law enforcement to the same conclusion. When I had a home invasion and my wife, room-mate, and his fiance were held at gunpoint for over an hour. As soon as they left we called the police, took 30 minutes to get there and the first thing out of the lead cops mouth after we explained what had taken place was, "Yup, this is what happens when a bunch of you young people live together." Then when we said we hadn`t touched anything he said to another cop, "Should we bother dusting just for fun."
A much different time and place there were a group of kids (known neo-nazi kids that lived nearby) beating up a black kid. I walked out and said, "what the hell are you doing?!" and one of them just walked up and punched me so I stun-gunned him (legal carry) and when the police I called arrived they tried to arrest me for assault.

Denver has had enough of what? Hippy drum circles? Cops reacting in a controlled manner? There are lots of youtube videos of cops pepper spraying or swinging at protesters, no need to get riled up over them actually doing their job properly.

@Apexs: Sounds to me like he meant there are no tents where he is standing, yet the police keep pushing them. Of course there are tents in the park.

It wasn`t until I had to rely on the cops on a few occasions, that my opinion changed of them. You are better off calling neighbors, fire department, or even a pizza delivery. They will all get there hours faster, not an exaggeration, hours, and likely help you more than an officer would. Also, I don`t hate them, just feel they cannot be relied upon, and most have terrible people skills/god-complex, which doesn`t help.

@FuriousC
My experience has taught me to never call the police, not because I hate them, but because they are more of a hassle than they are worth. They just complicate the situation and make your life harder than it needs to be, whether you are a victim, witness or suspect, they treat you the same (like your existence is just a waste of their precious time).

Solvent-"Whatever it takes to make the cops look bad."

Nothing in this video makes the cops look bad. It shows officers removing trespassers in a professional and respectful manner. Even the push-backs were gentle, but firm. Looks like officers doing their job enforcing the law against idiots.

CaptKangaroo-"Police are armed and willing to do violence."

Yes, and they are armed and willing to do violence: To protect you if you are a law abiding citizen in violence`s way, or TO you if you are an idiot who threatens violence agains others.

Which are you?

ever notice how 90% of protesters are all journalism students?
"Man I`m being oppressed."
"Yeah I know, sucks. Nice camera though"
"Thanks, It`s a Canon 1DIV with the 1.2 L lens. Gotta live within my means ya know?"

@furiousC calling 911 when you are being raped is too late to stop anything, you just get to relive it in front of the courts, if your lucky. or some fat detective will be able to find your body without doing any real work.

and those cops should remember that it won`t be long till their jobs are outsourced too

Life Tip: If you hate the police so much never, never, never ever dial 9-11 for police services. Even if your getting raped in the mouth by a homeless man in an alley. Stick to your principles and don`t call.

The protesters don`t seem to understand that if they don`t have the majority nothing matters. If you continue peaceful protests and nothing else nothing will change.

What do you think can go on longer, you sitting outside hating your life eventually realizing no one cares or police arresting you every night as they do to other people even when your not around.

It`s their job it`s what they do, they don`t care who it`s to, meanwhile protesters give up quite a bit to have a horrible life out their.

You need to recruit, you need to set up a foundation to fund it you need to have 35% of the donations go to administration fees and you need to start lobbying for special treatment and try to control the government, heh. At least we know it works right?

Have a listen to `right to remain silent` - this American life/ Ira Glass, podcast. Last week I think.
Look at everyone with compassionate eyes for they are just another version of you. (2nd half of the podcast on New York police)
Protest should remain non violent or they will loose all credibility.
Police are people too, they will join in, little later.

i say just let them be. If they need jobs, they aren`t going to find it in a park. They are like little children, if you just ignore them they will go away.

So now everyone thinks the police, no matter where they are, are plotting against them. Yeah, they have secret meetings on how to control the world, because you know, that`s their life goal.

Step 1: BCS announces everyone in Bowl contention are just a bunch of try hards and as a result, none of them are going to any Bowls. Actually, no, they all LOST, so, I don`t know, Hawaii is now number #1
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit.

The real rioters are too busy with football season.
