I can lie to children - it`s not that difficult. But this isn`t a children`s party, so I see no need to do so.
It`s not that simple, I`ve been playing guitar for a long time and that`s a pretty technical part.
Maybe if you play all of it. Which she wasn`t.
And, then, there`s the fact that she`s 7.
Yes, that`s why I said she was 7 and took that into account.
Do you play?
No. Nor do I race sprints, but I can still tell the difference between someone running 100m in 15s (which would be good for a child) and someone running 100m in 10s (which would be world class for an adult). It`s not the same thing, not at all.

It made me smile. She`s cute, she has a lot of potential, and she`s only seven years pld. `nuff said.

I apologize if my musical critique offended you. Yes, she is playing. Not a lot of kids her age do.

The fact is that she played a pretty challenging part at a mediocre level of performance. AWESOME if she is your kid, terrible if you payed any money to see it.

By all means she is doing decent (for her age), and within a couple of years I wouldn`t be surprised if some real talent blossoms.

I find it offensive that you criticize me and call me an ass when you have no grounds to do so. If I had said this to her or her parents face, then it would be acceptable to attack my character in such a fashion. It is highly unlikely that this girl will ever be aware of my remark about her, and if she does somehow stumble upon it then at least she gets a pragmatic and honest opinion instead of sugar-coated gushy responses. Grow some musicality.

Wow, really man? Regardless if there are better players out there you couldn`t let this little girl have her little piece of the spotlight without being an anal retentive pretentious ass? She`s a hell of a lot better then a lot of kids out there and at least she`s actually DOING something like playing a guitar instead of sitting on her ass watching TV and getting fat... People like you are just being asses for the sake of being asses go find something better to do.

Rock on little girl!

Is she one of the kids that did the Enter Sandman bit? Looks like her...?

@davymid

No, she really isn`t <i> that </> good. For the most part, she is just getting in the way of Slash playing in the background.

Granted, she is a lot better than the kid whose guitar lesson comes right before my bass lesson, but still. You can find much better guitarists on the internet. She has potential, I suppose, but until she learns to hone her playing (and work her technique) the best she can do will be these two-bit covers.

Anyone else notice that the video stopped before Slashes blistering solo?

My point is that you people are getting giddy about a child holding an instrument. Whether she can play it is another story.
No, she doesn`t. She`s playing a relatively simple part relatively well and making relatively few mistakes. Good for a 7 year old who presumably hasn`t been learning to play for very long.
This footage of Axl Rose as a young girl must be woth millions... unlike Axl Rose as an adult... after the sex change. Although, he still sings like a prepubescent little girl... and whines like one... and cries like one, and... ehhhh, you get the point.

That kid who met Ozzy has since played with him. Live on stage at proper concerts (Blizzcon, Ozzfest) and they had him playing solo parts. Which he handled. I can`t even imagine how awesome that must have been for him.

He can actually play (as opposed to playing well for a child), but he ought to forget the singing for a fair few years. Children can`t sing that sort of song, it just doesn`t work.

@NNoamfer What the F is wrong with you? That statement suggests you find something intrinsically sexy about her now which is just f-ing wrong.

@tedgp "for those who say playing this is hard.. It isnt. It`s just a variation of an exercise that people use to teach how to play the guitar."

Dude... you are the FOURTH comment, three people have commented before you and only ONE said anything about the difficulty and if you read that comment better "Speaks volumes to the difficulty levels of the piece of music, doesn`t it?" You can clearly see he is implying that since a kid can do it, it`s not actually hard at all.

Don`t be a douche for the hypothetical comments people haven`t even posted yet.

I have trouble with that on guitar hero. Pretty impressive. Not the most impressive musical prodigy I`ve ever seen, but still a good deal of talent there to capitlize on.
