I work at a passenger ship and we take trucks, trailers and passenger vehicles onboard as a cargo. I have come to a conclusion= small cars are the hardest to drive because all small vehicle (talking about cars like above in the picture) drivers drive like crap. There`s no exception if the driver is a guy, all small vehicle drivers suck and bad. For myself, I drive trucks and forestry machines even though I never had any training for them.

And that, MrBored, is an example of making statistics say whatever they want them to say. You have to think about it when you read statistics.

Men get into worse accidents not because of driving skill, but the risks they take. This is a completely different issue.

@pandabear21

There are different factors to account for, when looking at this Purdue study:
http://tinyurl.com/y2sefo

You will find that males have at least a higher death rate in car crashes, meaning their crashes are at least more severe, while women seem to be easier distracted by alcohol or illness than men. So it`s not entirely clear who is the better driver.

Women are pooty drivers. I know this because every time I`ve almost gotten into a wreck, it was involving another female driver. Very rarely are the other drivers male. I guess we`ll never know if it was my fault or theirs... Get over it ladies. We are pretty scary behind the wheel.

"We are trying to have fun with the picture"

Nooooooo.......People are still arguing over if it was a woman or not, or if it was shopped or not.

But you had a decent attempt at trying to use the dictionary to make an argument based on facts that do not exsist. So technically all you have done is highlight your ignorance by coddling the ignorant.

Congratulations
3) The stats showed that the average number of miles per accident for women was higher than that for men.
Oops, wrong way round. Higher for men than for women, i.e. for people who crashed the average frequency of crashing for women was higher than that for men. In other words, the opposite of what is commonly claimed to be proven true by those same stats (that hardly anyone actually looks at).

There are reasons why men have to pay higher car insurance premiums:

1) It`s expected. An insurance company that didn`t give women much lower premiums wouldn`t get any female customers. That`s a lot of money to lose. Since anti-male sexism is socially acceptable nowadays and widely seen as a good thing, giving preferential treatment to women attracts more business than it loses.

2) The type of cars that are more likely to be stolen are more likely to be owned by men.

3) More young men than young women drive in a risk-taking way and have expensive crashes as a result.

Insurance companies are only interested in profit, obviously. Half a dozen people driving badly, having low-speed crashes and doing 1000 worth of damage each counts for less than one person driving recklessly, having a high-speed crash and doing 10,000 worth of damage.
Men`s rates are higher than women`s rates because back in the 80s, men were statistically shown to be involved in more auto accidents.
Your statement is wrong in several ways and you`re using a false appeal to authority (maths as an authority).

1) The stats said nothing about men and women. They were about car insurance claims, so they only apply to a minority of men and a minority of women, not all men and all women.

2) The insurance stats were not about accidents, nor directly about blame. They were about claims. If, for example, someone steals your car and you claim on your insurance, is that an accident that was your fault?

3) The stats showed that the average number of miles per accident for women was higher than that for men.

Sexism about driving isn`t a one-way street.

Women are bad drivers. This is a scientific fact. You ladies wouldn`t understand, I`m a man, trained in the ways of the science, and you can cook. Women simply aren`t qualified to drive.

@Collegebound: Men`s rates are higher than women`s rates because back in the 80s, men were statistically shown to be involved in more auto accidents.

However, you have to consider that even if in the last couple of years men had improved their driving habits, the insurance companies will continue to look at the trends over a longer period of time rather than short spurts of improvement because those trends will give them a better idea of how to protect themselves.

@Subushie: I try not to feed trolls, but I can`t stand these f*cking misogynistic jokes that have gotten so popular lately. Women are not worse drivers than men. Who has to pay the most for insurance? 16-25 year old MEN. And before you start making these assumptions, look at your own driving. Most horn honking isn`t "for no reason." The only time I`ve ever used my horn was when the GUY in the lane next to me tried to merge over when I was immediately next to him. Not in his blind spot, immediately beside him. The person behind me and I both had to slam on our horns to get him to pay attention.

I can`t believe that in modern Western society, people can get away with this mindset. Shut up with your f*cking sandwich jokes. I`m not a die-hard feminist; I don`t get upset if somebody holds the door because they got there first or if a woman decides to be a stay-at-home mom. But I do think these stupid jokes need to stop.

We are trying to have fun with the picture and it`s back story rather than focus on the fact that someone with such misogynistic tendencies as yourself still walks the face of the Earth and we should be notifying anthropological organizations to scoop you up and tag you.

At jen00384 Hahahaaa. Women drivers are waaaaayyyy worse! Yes, some men drivers are non-nice individuals (not me) and can`t drive properly and cut people off and what not but believe me, here in New York women suck at driving any kind of vehicle. Most of them are way worse drivers than men. Also comparing men and women, I see a LOT more women talking or texting on their phone when driving.

Ok, double post thanks to server delay. If the dried part being talked about is under the driver`s door, it is because it has been churned up, has more surface area, and is curing quicker.

The rear wheel seems to be covered in concrete all around. Suggesting that it has turned at least one complete revolution. However, the rear wheel has not traveled one wheel revolution distance into the wet concrete from the dry part.

And what tiny strip under what bumper where is dry? I`m not understanding that.

Male 3,310
Look at the spokes on the rear tire. It`s been through almost a complete revolution to have concrete on all it`s spokes. Yet the back wheel has not travel a full revolution off of the dried part.

And what tiny strip under which bumper is dry?

Okay. I cannot tell you how many times I`ve been cut off by MEN coming out of side streets, drive thru`s, parking lots, other lanes, entering high ways... The list goes on. Men don`t look, they`d don`t pay attention, they don`t have a clue, especially when they`re trying to do something else while driving.

Gimmie a break, women drivers. Men are just as bad if not worse these days.

HAHAHA she stayed in the car? REALLY? Wow. Perhaps she`s huge, but it looked perfectly simple to open the door, climb on top, shut the door and slide down the back.

I do like the comment on the website though:

True.

Yeah; I wouldn`t have gotten out of my car either if I did something that moronic.

BTW- Women that are defending this; you don`t notice your terrible driving because you are behind the wheel. Try looking at the faces of your fellow motorist next time you honk your horn for no reason or continue driving when you clearly weren`t the first one to the stop sign.

"How did they get out of the car without leaving foot prints?"

How did they get their car perfectly horizontal with such a small area to turn? I would assume they were trying to make a u-turn on top of this. In which case fail was already underway.

That logical hole +1`s the `shopped theory.

She was parked along the curb where the other cars are parked. Decided to do a u-turn right off of the curb without realizing that cement was wet. The angle seems possible. Then she opened the door, climbed on top of the car, and slid down the back to where the workers are standing now.

Doesn`t really seem like something you`d bother to shop without adding a busty 20ish blonde for effect.
