WeePee "so its okay to take down an alleged wife beater but not an annoying hippie?"
Yes my dumb friend cause the first is a criminal and for the second being annoyng is not a valid reason to be brutalized. You answer yourself in your question...Fail.

WeePee, the innocent hippies didn`t bash someones nose in and threaten to kill children.

Did this person? I don`t know. You don`t know. An accusation on IAB isn`t proof of guilt. It`s also been claimed that those "innocent hippies" weren`t innocent either. Why believe one accusation and not another?

As Aedran said: Where`s the full story?

@Angilion, Innocence or guilt isn`t determined by cops. Their job is to detain people they think are breaking the law and, if necessary, bring them to jail where they can be charged, booked, and given a trial to determine their guilt or innocence.

There`s no excuse for resisting arrest...period. The time and place to stand up to injustice or assert your rights is before the officer says "I`m placing you under arrest". From that point, you cooperate fully until you`re standing in front of a judge. Anything else, and you`re just making it harder for yourself and law-enforcement for no damn good reason.

I will say that had this guy been black, no amount of facts would have quelled the cries of police brutality.

To those who see this as police brutality, the supreme court rules physical force as perfectly justified if reasonable, necessary amount of force to overcome resistance. This is perfectly reasonable in my book. Also very effective.

    "Not all cops are bad!"

No...most cops are not bad. It`s only a very small minority who are. Most cops are very altruistic in nature, and join the force as a way to better the lives of society, and they go out every day, risking their lives for a measly salary.
Even the roostersure rookies who strut around like they`re king poos, deep down are very gentle and noble.
We blame the cops when riots get out of hand. Like soldiers, they`re only following orders from up above, and when you`ve got mouths at home to feed on your middle-income salary, you do your job as it`s told.
There are no bad cops. Only badly trained cops. This officer did what he could to take down a perp, and he did it in the least violent means possible.

12 cops to take out one guy. That`s called strategic planning to ensure they have the upper hand. Who want`s to pick a fight just to get their butts handed to them? (other than the taco shack guys)

Depends on where you live. Most, if not all, the cops around me are bad. Half of them are in on drug trading, and the other half are those bullies from high school that couldn`t make anything of them selves so they became cops so they could bully some more. But I`ve run into cities that have all nice cops.. just depends on where you are.

I`m always amazed at how Americans need 12 cops to arrest a bum

    i) They were called out to an unclear situation that might have involved hostage-taking.

ii) In the USA, they always have to assume that they`re up against heavily armed people.

So it makes sense to send as many cops as you can. Every time, but especially when you don`t really know what`s going on but it might be a hostage situation.

It`s been how long now and we still can`t uncover the play button?

IAB doesn`t care and won`t change, so just forbid other sites from running scripts on your computer through IAB. Then you don`t get any adverts. Shame that IAB loses the revenue, but if they cared enough about that then they`d fix this extremely obvious Meebo problem that users have been complaining about for months.
