I have always wondered where the Red Brick Road goes. Maybe to one of the Wicked witches houses?

It leads to the Black Gate, obviously.

Bet you didn`t know the Wizard of Oz was a member of the Istarii and the Munchkins were retarded cousins of the Hobbits.

It goes to the Witch of the South`s house. The one witch who doesn`t get mentioned.

This movie damaged me as a child, and, to this day, I still feel the effects. Years of therapy, failed relationships. All because of this movie.

It doesn`t lead anywhere. In that scene, I traced the red bricks and apparently it stops at some guys house at the end of Munchkinland.

Should`ve known that 7 people would answer before me. I just have the added shame of not having to look it up...

Okay, I will shame myself by answering this.
In the book, the red brick road leads to Quadling County. In the film it leads to Munchkin Town or some such thing. You`re welcome all. And now I`m gonna go cut off my balls as I don`t seem to be using them...

A quick googled later and the answer is: In the book "The Wizard of Oz" there is no red brick road.

In the 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz" the red brick road leads to the Munchkin Town Hall. It is the road on which the carriage carrying Dorothy travels to reach the Munchkin Town Hall.

In the original series of Oz books written by L. Frank Baum himself, there is a road paved with red brick which goes to the Quadling Country in Oz. Red is the Quadlings` "state color."

Normally I wouldn`t correct a grammatical error - I make plenty of them myself - but, dear poster, i suggest you learn the difference between a question and an answer. The question is known - it`s in the picture. It ends in a question mark. The answer is what you want to know.

In the books by L. Frank Baum, Oz is divided into 4 sections and each was given a different colour: Winkie Country - Yellow, Gillikin Country - Purple, Munchkin Country - Blue, and Quadling Country - Red. Glinda the Good was the ruler of the Quadlings in the Oz series. As her bubble floats away from Munchkinland in the film, it follows the red brick road. Therefore, the red brick road most likely leads back to her homeland, Quadling Country.
The end. You`re welcome.

"The home page for IAB has been all messed up for me all day today.

It`s all dismembered, all I see is the thumbnails.
Clicking on a different genre makes it okay, like I pressed `funny` to get here.

Did I miss a previous conversation about this and if it`s going to be fixed or is it an error on my end?"

Its working perfectly fine in Firefox. If you want to test is an issue with your browser, just try to open it on Internet Explorer to see if the problem persist or not

Gerry: That`s the map from the first book, the deserts were filled with noxious fumes that would turn anything to dust, but there is another map of lands beyond the deserts. That 2nd map actually sort of resembles Australia, that might be why it`s nicknamed OZ, not sure.

CrakrJak, are you sure that map is acurate?

"Impassable Desert" "Shifting Sands"
"Deadly Desert" and "Great Sandy Wastes"

So OZ is located in Texas?

You`re referring to "Return to Oz", starring a very young Fairuza Balk, Dixxy. One of my favorite movies, though when I was younger it did give me the creeps.
Also, thanks Crakr! I really have always wondered that. lol

PS, does anyone remember the other creepy OZ movies? All I really remember is a hallway full of severed heads, and it scared the sh*t out of me when I was a small tot.

"I`d say those midgets were genius, they made her carry out their dirty work "

actually, the `good` witch is the main antagonist in the movie. check out crackd`s article on why the `good` witch was actually the evilest son of a bitch ever.

A notorious prison populated with homosexuals and Chris Meloni.
