In his follow-up video he explains that he was fired due to posting that video, that he wasn`t bitter at Starbucks and he knew the consequences to what he was doing.

THEN THE non-nice individual SAYS HE LOVED HIS JOB.

What a douche. Hates his job before he loses then loves it after? Remorse is not the correct emotion here bub. Either suck up the smaller problems and enjoy your job or shut the hell up about it after it`s over.

Pansy.

Gah... i totally feel for him! I love customer service, it is one of my strong points, i can usually make a horrible customer leave feeling great (or so my bosses and i have been told)... But the really terrible customers that noone on earth can make happy really suck BAD!!! Especially at a coffee shop, If you really are such a nitpicker about your coffee then just stay home and make it yourself!! I was taught to make coffee by an italian who was taught by his grandfather and he was taught by his father.... So i pretty much know more about making a coffee than you do about drinking one.. F off

Working for the public absolutely sucks. I try to be extra nice to people in the service industry because I know what major non-nice individuals people can be.

I really don`t understand why everyone hates retail so much....I`ve been at my job almost 4 years, and never had a horrible customer I couldn`t deal with and make happy. My customers are my favorite part of my job it`s the only reason I haven`t quit yet because I would miss them. Retail isn`t as terrible as people think....you just need some people skills.

"If you are going to work in the service industry then keep your attitude at home. You don`t like the conditions/pay/ customers fine take yourself to another job. No one`s gonna stop you.
If I am paying top dollar for a product or a service I expect it to be polite and with a smile."

You are paying the company top dollar, if you aren`t tipping well, you aren`t doing jack for your barista but being snotty and demanding. Also, chances are after reading your comment, you seem like the type of person that needs to pay people to be nice to you...

He `hit the nail on the head` all right. There`s not enough good customers to outweigh all the non-nice individuals a barista has to deal with everyday.

@subushi, have done, did back flips do make my customers happy. And you know what with a rare exception, every one of my customers were super nice to me. Those few who didn`t were probably having a bad day.

Looks like he`s partnered with Youtube to have an Ad at the bottom of his video. He`ll make more off this than a year at his minimum wage job.

ALSO P.S.- I agree he should have been fired. I understand hating customers, I am a waiter; but posting this on the internet and knowing your bosses might see this. You would have to be stupid to not assume you would be fired.

All I know now... Is I wanna have sex with a guy wearing nothing but a starbucks apron playing a guitar.

also.. He probably should have quit before posting this video.

ALSO @sutra46- Darling get a job in the service industry, I`ve never been a barista; but I know what It`s like hating customers.

He said all of the things i wish i could say to my customers. I`m sure most of my fellow baristas agree at least a little bit

Why didn`t he just resign and get another job instead of burning his bridges like this and likely losing any possible reference from his boss?

"So where do you work at? I`d love to come over to your job with 15 screaming children and then yell at you whenever you take a millisecond longer than I think you need to"

Where do I work at? lol, my job description does not involve serving the general public. His does. His job is to interact with any member of public from all walks of life that can afford their coffee, take orders from them, and fill those orders. If you come to my office with 15 screaming kids security will have you escorted out. I`d love to come to your job and knock the leaf blower out of your hand, but I`m a nice guy and wouldn`t.

@Aedran he admitted he gave drinks away for free and didn`t give customers what they wanted. That does make Starbucks look bad. I`ve worked in coffee and know everything he says in 100 percent true, but that`s not the point.

@carmium yeah. It`s almost as old as you.

Seriously though, I don`t think he should have been fired. These complaints against the consumer were nothing new and have been in comic strips, articles, etc. He`s venting and there is zero threat to the company. I`m not going to stop buying my coffee from starbucks because some random barista thinks i`m an asshat.

If he had said something like "I poo in the coffee", that`s something to get fired over (like that dominoes girl who wiped her ass with sandwich meat).

Whoever thinks he shouldn`t get fired has never looked at these jobs. When you sign on to work, you are essentially signing a contract that you will follow company policy, and every place including starbucks has a clause that even when you are not working anything you say that reflects badly on the company like that is a violation and will result in firing. Shoula read the handbook, dumbass.

It`s interesting to look at the opinions and then look at the age demographic. This isn`t an old codger screaming about the durned kids on his lawn, but there does seem to be an interesting philosophy amongst some of the youngsters that so long as it`s the truth, then there shouldn`t be consequences.

Ever see Clerks? I`ve been as Randall, stuck in a customer service job for years dealing with people who have no concept of respect, politeness, or logic. I would have loved to really speak my mind, but I loved paying my rent, and eating more.

Regardless of how smart you are, how rude they are, how dumb the bosses are, it is inappropriate to badmouth them on the internet and deliver a musical harangue about the customers. You vent to your wife or friends in private.

Getting fired for this is a no-brainer to me

This is a clear-cut case of why you NEVER, EVER connect with your employer online, and ALWAYS use an alias.

He reflected bad on the company and didn`t even bother to hide his name or face. Herp-derp, it`s like friending your boss on Facebook and calling them an assh*le.

Rule of the Internet: Do NOT make yourself obvious to anyone that holds any degree of authority over you. Anonymity is your best friend, because with it you can get away with damn near anything, even ranting about your boss, co-workers, company, customers, etc.

WickedSteak-"If you think he deserved to get fired, you`re a douche."

I think it is the right (and responsibility) of any company to fire any employee that demeans, insults or reflects badly on the company. (And that is part of most peoples job contract.)

He got fired for being stupid.

WickedSteak-"90% of the customers that go into starbucks are douchebags, too."

If you think that, then don`t go there or work there. If he thinks that, he`s not qualified for the job. (Seriously, 25 years old and working at Starbucks? Obviously he does not have any marketable job skills.)

Don`t like dealing with people you don`t like? Find a job where you don`t have to deal with the public.

This was really good. My wife worked at Starbucks for several years while in college and would complain about a lot of these things. It`s why I don`t order Frappucinos.

@simim23

1. He accepted the job and the paycheck.
2. That`s the job, if he doesn`t like it then do something else.
3. Yes, when the customer is paying for you to provide a service, they are always right, and if you disagree, they won`t be customers, and you will not be necessary.
4. If you are paying me to allow you to come to my office and act like the spoiled brat you appear to be, then have at it.
5. No matter how bad you think your job is, there are at least 10,000 people who will crawl over your dead body to take it. (especially in this economy)

I love working inside my little box. No one can hear me if the intercom`s off, so I can talk to myself about people being f*cking morons all I want.

And admire the nice asses on some of the ladies that come through.

@ Gerry:

He wasn`t ranting about his bosses, he was ranting about the crappy customers he serves--i work in retail and i know his pain.

I don`t think he should have been fired for this--he was just venting stress.

So where do you work at? I`d love to come over to your job with 15 screaming children and then yell at you whenever you take a millisecond longer than I think you need to.

Because my time is so much more important than yours, and the customer is always right, right?

That being said, it`s completely understandable he`d get fired, but it`s about damn time more people made more rants about how crappy customers treat retail and food service employees.

As previously mentioned, I`d love to walk into your office and smear my greasy hands all over your workspace and tell you how to do your job.

Just give me a date and time and we`ll set up an appointment. Oh, wait, nevermind, I`ll just do it whenever I feel like it.

Most jobs have a clause in the contract stating that bringing the company into disrepute will be treated as gross misconduct and is a sackable offence. I don`t get why people are surprised that they get fired when they do things like this.....yes it`s a funny song, but no, it`s not compatible with keeping your job.

So you`re 25, and making minimum wage at Starbucks? Sounds like someone made some bad life choices. Not the customers` fault that you`re a failure. Coming soon, 27-year-old Christopher Cristwell gets fired from Taco Bell over Mexican Themed Rant Song.
