If this really disturbs someone and they eat chicken or any fowl for that matter, I find that somewhat hypocritical.

The magpie has been making such a racket for the past month that the owner of the camera hired a guy with this hawk to kill it and he taped it because he`s a sick and twisted MF.

Where are the rest of the magpies? I guess they aren`t as smart as crows. Crow family would have came right down and brought it to that raptor but good.

I would`ve drowned it too. This annoying sound the Magpie made was painful. What an intelligent bird! :D

Actually Archaeopteryx may not be a bird at all, but just a feathered dinosaur, it`s either that or we will have to reclassify what a bird is.

Chinese feathered fossils, dated 155 million years old, would knock Archaeopteryx off it`s perch as `oldest known bird` Clicky Clicky. So either what a bird is needs redefining or Archaeopteryx should be placed into the deinonychosaur (feathered dinosaur
) classification.

"So who thinks dinosaurs evolved into birds?"

Funny you mention that AJ, I just read this article recently. I was thinking about posting it here, but thought it might be a little dry; anyways, for what it`s worth.

I`ll quote Tennyson if I may:

"Who trusted God was love indeed
And love Creation`s final law
Tho` Nature, red in tooth and claw
With ravine, shriek`d against his creed"

So who thinks dinosaurs evolved into birds?

I think that is an explanation of this.

They`ve been around long enough, where their brains have evolved reasoning, and problem solving skills that are very acute.

Birds have been known to use tools for years. Even going so far as dropping nuts at busy intersections to let cars run over them to break them. The thought that we are the only sentient beings is nothing short of wrong

I`m over hear choosing to believe that actually something is capable of drowning another thing. I know, it`s a crazy thought isn`t it. Dumbass.

Excuse me? Are you telling us that creatures created by God for mankind are infested by Satan? What would he even want with a non-sentient bird in the first place?

That`s actually pretty cool. Dying animals aren`t really my thing, but it really shows how intelligent animals can be in using their surroundings.

I`m a bit confused though, was this a territory thing? Or did the hawk kill it for food?

@Gerry for all you know that was it`s plan from the start, and he did hold it`s head under with it`s foot. These great birds are kind of known for their cunning, give it some credit.

@Gerry1of1 That is a behavior that has been witnessed elsewhere.

There`s absolutely nothing accidental about what happened there. The Sparrowhawk very calculatedly used the water to dispatch the magpie.

I don`t get the "smart" part.
Accidentally flopping into water is not a plan.
