It`s not OK that innocent people were killed, though it`s not hard to understand the motivations of those who did it or why they targeted the US.

Didn`t need to watch the video to know that the comment section would be awesome.

Frankly, I think that, given the capabilities of the United States Military Construct, it`s somewhat surprising the restraint used.

Yes, lots and lots of people are dead, but we didn`t start throwing punches and if we really, REALLY feel like being dicks about it, we can hit the reset button and return humanity to the stone age.

People like to point out that America is a Twilight Empire, well rooster muchers, this may be so, but if you thought we were an insufferable gaggle of ass wipes, just wait until China is fulfilling the role as World Police.

What do you suppose would have happened in Iraq if 19 Hijackers had flown an Airbus into the Forbidden City? Yeah, that whole sand trap in the "Middle East" would be two foot thick sheet of radioactive glass right now.

Love us or Hate us, we are the Devil you know.

Let`s not forget how America started the holy war against terrorism by INVADING IRAQ, in order to arrest SADDAM, who has always been against and afraid of terrorists. Yeah, you pretty much screwed a whole country over while getting to him. How many hundreds of thousands of people have died there now?

@CaptKangaroo, please forgive me if I sounded exclusively against the manipulations of the American government, I thought it was more or less on topic, but in no way do I intend to deny the vile ways of many european countries throughout history by moaning about America.
For example, if I say that you are ugly it doesn`t imply that I am handsome, it implies that you are ugly. But I know people tend to mix up those things. I don`t hate America (why hate a piece of earth, it`s silly) nor do I hate Americans (there are way too many and obviously very different) but I do loath some of your actions which have been despicable. That doesn`t mean that I approve of the despicable acts of my own country at all, that would be absurd

@AGit- I would point out that European nations have a somewhat bloody, devious and self-serving history as well. For thousands of years, you folks waged war, used mercenary armies paid with whatever they could rape and plunder, instituted slavery, oppressed and committed genocide on the indigenous peoples of the `new world` after YOUR pope divided it up amongst YOUR monarchs. You don`t like America, or perhaps Americans, fine. Please remember however, that your history is one of treachery and bloodshed as well. So remove your head from your poo-hole.

@GothicQueen, you probably did start the war. It`s pretty well known that during the history of the United States, you`ve always had the right excuses to either start a war or rush in, and I wouldn`t be surprised if many years from now papers were released to confirm that this tragic event was well known by the government of the time and used as an excuse, just like the Tonkin incident that started the Vietnam war and that never happened as we recently learned, just to name one

@Mr Pedo Bear They started the war, america is not at war with afghanistan or iraq the governments of those 2 countries are fighting beside Canadian, British, and American troops. We are at war with the taliban who are trying to take over the countries.

@tedgp on any other day i might listen to your conspiracy theory and let it register and maybe think about it but today is not that day. you can believe what you believe, but for drat`s sake would you please just have a little heart for the people who actually died ten years ago? today, as i said, is not a day for arguing over whether or not it was an inside job, today is a day for remembrance, mourning, respect and reflection.

@GothicQueen. You did start the war. You were victim to a terrorist attack. A declaration of war is an attack from a foreign state i.e Pearl Harbour. A terrorist attack is an attack from individuals foreign or not.

By your idea of they started it we should have invaded Ireland and freed them from the oppressive IRA long ago. I mean we have enough attacks against our union.

Im not saying don`t mourn, I`m just sick of the hypocrisy and self righteousness of some of the people on here.

Lulz, on a national level i don`t care about 9/11, but i do care on a personal level when im presented a survivor story. wish their collective tragedy had never been used to go to a war planned from way before.

@Gothicqueen you`re such a drama queen.. explains your name though lol. 9/11 got over 2000 people killed, Vietnam lost us over 50 million. I`m an american and IM sick of hearing about 9/11. it happened and it`s in the past, get over it country. Firefighter`s lose their lives everyday, because this event happened to get a lot of new coverage they`re somehow more important? i really don`t get America and the stupid drating americans in it..

*continued from below*

you all just make me sick sometimes. No one is saying that there aren`t other tragedies in the world. No one is saying that at all. But on September 11th...the day terrorists hijacked our planes, killed our people in a suicide mission, and forced our government to make the country go to war, god freaking FORBID we have a little remembrance of that. Especially when it`s still happening. Heaven freaking forbid that. I wish that we weren`t at war. I wish that 9/11 never happened. I WISH we could just go about and pretend that it never happened. Bu it did. So either accept it or ignore it but stop drating trolling 9/11 tributes every year when you aren`t even from America talking about how we should get over it. Oh and the last i checked aren`t some people from other country`s military being sent to Iraq and Afghanistan too? It isn`t JUST American lives dying you know.

Actually they think that many more people died that day than just the almost 2,000. That`s just the "official number". And you`re also not including the thousands of soldiers who have been called to duty into a war THEY DID NOT START and forced to follow orders.

Why don`t you non-nice individuals understand tyhat remembering 9/11 isn`t just about the drating towers. It isn`t just about the innocent "measely 2,000 lives" as you all so ignorantly put it that died that day. It`s the people who have sacrificed greatly. The firefighters who died, the policemen who died, people who disobeyed orders to SAVE other people`s lives, some who were even killed protecting others. We did NOT start this war and i`m sure a great most of us didn`t even WANT this war but we the people have NO say in what our government does even though they may like to pretend we do. None of you understand that this isn`t just about drating towers falling. But why bother to explain. You m

I, to some extent, agree with Tedgp.

9/11 is a very painful event for entire America.
Stories like this break your hearts. I`m European
and my heart aches tremendously for all of your losses. Sincerely, I hope none of you will
go through the pain of losing someone you love (again).

But don`t let your pain blind you from the facts.
Don`t let your loss make you impulsive when it comes to supporting your government. Your military, for one, has killed many innocent men, women and children in the process of `retaliation`.

In the same manner Al Qaida has hurt many people you love aswell. Nothing good is coming out of this war. Don`t be uninformed ignoramous douchebags like, say, Gerry1of1. He`s the prime example of how a person shouldn`t be. Sad, bitter, and blinded to everything around him. I know a lot of you are better than this.

Thanks, and sorry.

I love how people like you feel the need to be the smartest person in the room. We get it, you have opinions.. you`re a special snowflake. Chances are, you`re just a keyboard warrior that wouldn`t dream of fronting their opinion in real life. You`re a joke, just quit typing and watch the video.

tedgp, do you celebrate your birthday every year? Perhaps you don`t go all out but I`m sure you acknowledge it and probably do something special, or did in the past. Do you know how meaningless your birthday is to pretty much everyone but you? But that doesn`t keep you from celebrating to some extent. This case is similar, whether or not worse stuff has happened is really irrelevant. Today is a day to remember what happened 10 years ago. Today is a day to mourn over the losses that happened 10 years ago. It`s the anniversary of a horrible event that happened 10 years ago. Bringing up other things is irrelevant because it`s not the anniversary of those other things. Bringing them up and complaining about people mourning on this day just makes you look like a dick.

It seems that some of the people commenting on this thread totally missed the point of this video. It has nothing to do with motives, politics or the history of state funded terrorism. It`s a personal story of loss and love.
Get off your know-it-all high horse and try for a second to use your judgement as to when the appropriate moment arises to drop a turd out of your mouth.

On their day, _their_ day that many people suffered and more, be a considerate, and kind human being and just shut the hell up and collaborate with the many hurt people. Fight the devastation that it caused, and celebrate the life of many affected. On the day that many people died, grow up.

It`s not the biggest, it`s not the most recent, it`s not the most aware, but it`s their day to mourn, celebrate lives, to deal with emotions with out being nitpicked at people who should know better.

Opinions are fine, but people need to learn when it`s ok to push them into controversy, and when they need to hush for a bit, and just let people be.

Can we recall the hundreds killed in teh UK, through US funded IRA terroism? How about the vietnam population, nagasaki, hiroshima, iraq etc?

Yes, it really sucks that the twin towers terroism act happened, but i think its time we got some perspective on this entire thing, instead of believing the political BS that keeps rearing its head.
