I can remember watching the towers falling with an absolute certainty that they were both completely empty. I suppose my brain just couldn`t cope with the thought of watching that many people die.

I was in 7th grade. They pulled us all into one teacher`s room and my entire class watched the second plane hit and both towers fall. My parents were ripped that they let us watch it, but I`m glad I did in a way. I don`t think it would have seemed real otherwise.

8th grade, first period of the day. My friend told me about it when I first showed up that day but I didn`t even believe him because it sounded so outrageous.
We didn`t do anything that day, every classroom was tuned in to the news. I guess we were all sort of waiting for it to get worse somehow even if we didn`t realize it.

Ten years ago my flatmate woke me up about 10pm Australian time, and told me a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Centre. We spent the rest of the night and the next day glued to the TV. Both of us didn`t go to work. It was -such- a defining moment. Even now, with all the atrocities that have happened since then, this one stands out: Never before has a civilian community been a target to this extend, in one isolated incident. And watching that footage still makes my skin crawl...

Well, I can`t help but mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Not trying to flame here, but I couldn`t help it

I meant to say `In my lifetime`, but: You are, of course, right. And I`m actually ashamed that I didn`t think of that.
    Thank you for reminding me

Uh.... yeah.. and that was at the end of AN OFFICIAL WAR, not a terrorist attack. If we had not bombed them with nukes, it would of been almost as bad as with regular bombs...

Also, ever heard of the London Blitz? Really people, stop making out whoever you want as the convenient bad guy. All countries suck in their own way.

@thubanstar, it being an official war, as you put it, or a terrorist act is no matter in terms of it being an attack on civilians, which was what he was talking about, not the status behind the conflict. Both are reprehensible. I chose those examples as being the most obvious, not because of the perpetrator. If you want, I can also include Dresden and Guernica if that makes you feel better, but you`ll forgive me i I chuckle slightly at the "official war" part, being the cynic I am, I found that quite amusing...

I drove to work that day after seeing the towers fall on TV. There were 5 separate accidents on the freeway; rarely is there even single accident. I`m not surprised by that because I looked at the other drivers and every single person I looked at had the same far off glazed look on their face. I probably had that same look on my face as well. I also didn`t see the, until then, ubiquitous jerk driving 20 mph faster than everyone else. It looked like dawn of the driving dead.

BTW, not that there needs to be anymore evidence to disprove Loose Change and the conspiracy nuts, but in this video at 2:20 you see a spire left over from the collapse that finally collapses. If it was a controlled demolition into it`s own footprint, then there wouldn`t have been that part of the building collapsing 30 seconds after the rest of it.

right after the guys says hello, at 1:43 you can clearly hear the explosions, quick blasts, than the top part of the tower implodes. I`m not a nut ok? I`m just not as brainwashed as lot`s of us. It`s even stupid to say that terrorists did this in the most powerful nation on earth.

lol you are a nut, when you demo a building it is destroyed from the bottom up. The jets impact damaged the fire proofing and framing. The human brain has a place it in that want`s to believe in conspiracy theories but this was as simple as it seems.

if you a demo a building from the top like this it won`t collapse, it would have to be destroyed from the bottem, basically taking out its legs and blowing up all the ppl and firefighters. The jet caused the collapse
