I like him; his stories make you think, and he has some pretty boring stories that he tells in an extraordinarily interesting way.

Hey, I`ve seen those characters on Vancouver buses. Thing is, they`re everywhere. Along with the stinkies, ride bummers, psychos, guys who wanna be your friend, guys who want to kill you (one, at least. He told me.), ladies who have to chat up the bus driver, guys with pants belted around their knees, guys who think they pass as women, hookers with cigarette voices, dolts with refrigerator-size backpacks, people who scream at each other in Chinese, druggies who "lost" their bus passes, people who take up two seats, and mothers with strollers the size of compact cars. Bless `em all.

Hmm, he definitely has a point. I used public transit when I was a kid and to this day there are some characters that I will never forget.

"Who else loves this guy?"

Not me. His voice either makes me want to commit suicide or fall asleep.

I once asked a pair of guys if I could bum a cigg. They didn`t have any on them so we walked to their dorm. They asked me if I wanted weed. I just smiled and said no, just a cigg. I did this in a way that surprised me later. As I was thinking back I realized I declined the offer for weed like it was completely legal and normal thing to do in this country. It was a great freeing feeling.

Public transit is definitely an experience, insane hobos, large smelly people that sit next to you the entire time, the starers, the random conversationalists, the too much pda people, loud ignorant high schoolers I want to strangle, the drunken college kids, the sober college kids who get to ride the bus for free and only take it one stop and make as much noise as possible between point a to point b... the list is endless.

Unfortunately I have to do a lot of travelling and I can`t drive so I`m a slave to public transport. I relate to this completely, especially that last bit. All the passengers just seem to have this mutual acceptance that everyone is trying to figure everyone else out and I always wonder how other people are perceiving me.

I think his somewhat depressing attitude is important in conveying that his stories are about `mere existence.` I love tales of mere existence for some reason, probably because I can relate to them all to some degree.

I loved this. Public transportation is one of my favorite things! I spend about an hour a day on the bus/train... it`s never dull. Okay sometimes it is.

Why just the other day some crazy, old guy told me to eat a sh*t taco. F*cking hilarious.

I find his monologues really interesting. He`s a tad depressing, though.
