Um, the world disagrees. You`re not doing well at dispelling the stereotype that America is self centred.

@cyborg: how the f vc|< is it NOT imporant? 9/11 ushered in a new era of terror! the 21st century is very VERY influenced by 9/11! thousands of people died! a very prominent part of new york was destroyed and people have been on high alert ever since!
i`m sorry, i`m not doing very good at saying how important it is, but SERIOUSLY? it`s so f vc|<ing important it`s ridiculous

I think it`s only really observed in the USA. Here, we have a four day weekend and it`s the last big pool party splash of the season. Maybe we should watch the video while the BBQ warms up. Does it have a happy ending?

I deem such a movie unworthy of piracy.

"The difference between this and "Schindler`s List" is they don`t advertise movies about the Holocaust during Hanukkah, do they?"
I`m not Jewish, but I don`t think Hanukkah is a commemoration of the Jews struggle in nazi occupied Germany.

If you didn`t put it there, then who did?
Did a moderator change your topic when they approved it? Do we have a corporation hating moderator here at the site?

Nah... they have integrity here!

Corporate America? LOL.... how about all the charities that collect mucho dinero? Or all the politicians in Washington that milk it for whatever their cause is?

Don`t be another lamb... manipulated by class envy, and lefty politics.

"Shall I point out the part where it says that it came out in 2006."

That`s really the entire point.

"Schindler`s List" was a well-conceived retrospective. A passion project by Spielberg aimed at telling one aspect of a gross world-tragedy. It was made nearly 50 years after the actual Holocaust and is considered a masterpiece of film.

"United 93" was made 5 years after. It is riddled with hyperbole and trite patriotism. Try seeing it objectively without being blinded by your emotions surrounding that day.

@Sarah The existence of other terrible action films doesn`t negate the disrespectful nature of advertising a #2.99 movie rental two days before the 10-year anniversary of one of the greatest national tragedies in the history of our country. Is that what the remembrance of 9/11 has been reduced to? A three-dollar movie rental?

Brain, I don`t care if it`s a crappy movie, that`s rather an insignificant point. There`s tons of crappy movies out there about serious things. There`s action and horror movies glorifying all kinds of murder and crimes. It`s all pretty damn disrespectful in the end.

@BrianofBrian, I haven`t seen this, but I assume its a lot like the Nick Cage movie about firefighters. I agree with you, its stupid that people are making money off this.

I didn`t put the phrase "Corporate America" in there. Not sure why it was added.

Also, anyone not understanding the message here, let me spell it out for you:

You probably haven`t seen this film, because if you had, you`d understand that it`s not "honoring" anyone, and it sure as hell isn`t "entertainment." It was a melodramatic crap-fest aimed at cashing in on a national tragedy.

The difference between this and "Schindler`s List" is they don`t advertise movies about the Holocaust during Hanukkah, do they? No, but every year around 9/11 things like this pop-up, trying to make some more money off of the death of thousands of people.

But no you`re right, I must be an idiot because you fail to see how poor in taste this is.

What`s so weird about this? It`s not like there haven`t been movies about real tragedies before. Is corporate America milking the Holocaust when they made Schindlers List?
