Remember this mornings video of the protesters that got pepper-sprayed by that cop? Anonymous is unleashing hell on him.

Try to remember that all we`re seeing is short clip of a much longer event. We don`t have the whole story.

I agree with Revolutionz, alot of people are flip flopping on their opinions of cops and innocents. I don`t agree with alot of what Anon does, but this is justified. There were a dozen cops holding them back with the orange construction barrier, and dude walks over, sprays them and walks away like he`s a badass. Just one cop pissed that he`s bald and flaccid and taking it out on the youth. It`s not about blocking the street, cops and construction crews block them all the time, visit Pittsburgh some time. Both parties are wrong here, but Tony has it coming. One moment of pretending to be a badass might cost him and his family more than he could imagine. Everything is recorded these days, we all have to start being more careful, or all of us here on IAB will eventually be in a tazer video or fail compilation.

Hrm I`m wondering how many times the cops asked the ppl to move off where they were standing and got no response, before they felt they may as well mace `em. I f`n hate anonymous.

@ madest

the term “terrorism” means premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents

1- they are using the tactic of releasing sd offender`s personal information to instill fear upon him or his family
2- they are a clandestine group
3- political motivation would be "f___ the police"

open your eyes madest.

Madest: Terrorism: ter-uh-riz-uhm
noun 1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

Apparently your vocabulary skills are lacking, madest. Either that or your hate is blinding you to the truth.

I didn`t really see any reason for pepper spray... but I don`t really see and reason for anonymous to release details about the cop either..

Obviously, we should all just shrug off this unhappy incident and move on with our lives.

However, what (for the sake of argument) would happen, if somebody tortured and murdered his family? (1) Homeland Security stormtroopers would find and screw up anyone associated with it Anonymous. (2) would change traditional policing effectiveness because even if you get Anonymous, there will always be someone capable of doing this. (3) Police would have to police anonymously, in the equivalent of black hoods, with their name badges replaced with code names.

All of these factors would contribute to effecting a police state, not stymieing it.

What the officer did was uncalled for. I didn`t see the women do anything to warrant the spray. I will agree on that. As far as Anon not being a terrorist threat well they did release personal information on the officers and his family. Working in law enforcement is a dangerous job. Someone he arrested might get that info and try to harm him or his family for revenge. That`s indirect harm. Cops probably wouldn`t be such douches if people weren`t drating morons. She is screaming as if hot lava with lasers was poured on her.

I will, and have, called police brutality quite liberally. I`ve had to put my hands on a cop before, and as far as I`m concerned, if you want to be a tough guy, you better be VERY tough.

This, is pepper spray. BIG deal.... The crazy chick didn`t even get hit directly with the stream. Perhaps I`ve been sprayed/gassed too many times, but I don`t consider pepper spray remotely hostile.

"Anonymous doesn`t have the right to make terrorist threats against police officers doing their jobs and i hope whomever posted that info gets arrested, tazed, and pepper sprayed, in that order."

Exactly what terrorist threats has Anonymous made?
The term "terrorism" is defind by U.S. Law as:
"premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents"

Anonymous` motives are not politically driven, and their acts aren`t violent. Therefore, no terrorist threats are being made. Also, the cops here can hardly be considered "noncombatants" when they are pepper spraying girls who are yelling.

Educated yourself. It`s the first step to combating ignorance.

listen to you guys haha, we`ve been seeing cops misusing their power in videos on IAB for months, an everyone is always saying how much they hate the cops blah blah. and now some action against a cop macing a crowd of innocent people. and you all take his side? bunch of drating hypocrites..

This is not excessive force. I have been pepper sprayed before (college dare = not fun) and it does burn for a while, but it is not in the least "excessive force". This could have been much worse and I believe all of us reading this have seen cops abusing their power but in this case I just don`t see it.

Now if they were tazered, struck with a nightstick, K-9 unit brought in, then I would say you have an argument for being excessive but pepper spay was about the least physical thing they could have done.

madest:
the police don`t have the right to pepper spray or Taze people just because they have the equipment.
They do if the need arises and apparently it arose here, before the editing out of those jerks stopping traffic.

Anonymous doesn`t have the right to make terrorist threats against police officers doing their jobs and i hope whomever posted that info gets arrested, tazed, and pepper sprayed, in that order.

Payback. That`s why. The officer pepper sprayed protesters that were behind a cordoned police area. Protesting is not against the law in America. Sorry about the cops kids but hey their father is a power hungry dick. Let them be bullied at school, you were all for that a few posts ago...

madest open your eyes. Even if it is the correct officer, why post the names of his children? Why post his address. Some idiot takes that info and chucks a rock through his window... does the glass hit one of the kids? Does the rock? My point is Anonymous is more irresponsable than the idiots they expose. They take no resposability for the consequences of thier actions.

@Arcval Freedom of assembly does not mean "Freedom to block the street. Or block a subway station. etc.)

I do not know what these guys were doing (Because if we did, we might not feel as sorry for them right?) But I`ll bet the police were right in doing what they did.

So.....why did they police officers use mace for?

For fun? ... Probably not.
Because the protesters did something wrong? Yup. Although everyone is allowed to protest, there are certain restrictions about how to do it and what not to do. (Like sit-ins and block the street or entryway to businesses)

I retract my previous statement. They weren`t in the street. This looks like complete and total wrongdoing and abuse of power by the offending officer. For as much as everyone wants to accuse anonymous of being "pussies", I can`t think of anything more cowardly than a police officer using unnecessary excessive force. He deserves everything he gets. I don`t care where the source of punishment is from.

Gerry1of1 Anonymous is fighting with the same weapons that police or "power" have, but on the other side of barricade, that`s all. I personally think this is not a brilliant way to fight but if cops and power often use abuse i think that anonymous have the right to fight with the same money. Wait... what was in the Bible? Oh yes "eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth".

Gerry, Calm down. It was the officer, they had pictures that showed his badge and name. The stuff Anon posted was public record stuff. Look the police don`t have the right to pepper spray or Taze people just because they have the equipment. I`m glad instant retribution can be attained because too much stuff goes down when no cameras aren`t recording.

They should have listened to the police officers when asked to move out of the street, as they were impeding traffic. They should have kept their protest on the sidewalks. The officer should have attempted to move them before unleashing pepper spray into the eyes of peaceful protesters. It might suck, but I`m all for anonymous making cops nervous to keep them in line. It holds them accountable, and too few sources do that these days.

Anonymous are pussies. If your cause is right, you don`t hide like a frightened child.

This is vigilanteism. Suppose Anonymous has the wrong officer? Imagnie the damage to an innocent family. And even if it`s the correct cop, why post private info on his spouse, children, siblings?

Anonymous is a bunch of pimple-assed geeks trying to be thugs.
