Link: Always Look Before You Sign - You know how your co-workers pass out the card for everyone to sign around the office? Make sure it`s for a birthday.

If I received that card, I would love the `birday wish` person the best!

Next time a card is going around I am going to pass it to the next guy and tell him it was the opposite of whatever occasion so this happens.

I thought it was supposed to mean as if he`s lost another year of life like its a tragedy. Like a corny joke 40+ year olds find amusing.

I`m sorry, but am I the only one who thinks getting a card for someone who has lost a member of their family is kinda inconsiderate and stupid? Why not be a human being and instead of signing a potluck card; and give the person a hug, and tell him/her how sorry you are face to face...
    I would be pissed.

I`m with you, cards are f*cking retarded, especially for an event like that.

I see your point, but I believe that many work places will not tolerate physical contact between coworkers. I also don`t think that many people who have lost a loved one wants to have to constantly repeat how they feel over and over and over to people they don`t really know. I think a community sympathy card in the work place is totally appropriate for the loss of a loved one. If the workplace wants to step it up a little, (my old job did this often) they could take up a donation to help the grieving family with funeral costs or offer to help with providing food for the family.

OMG! Curious to find out the origin of that card. The writing looks amazingly like mine. The bar I used to go to passed cards like this around all the time. Usually for birthdays too. Must have been a good drunk night if that is my writing. Face-palm.
