Two Serious Questions, I-A-B... [Pic]

Submitted by: eastsiderepp 6 years ago in Misc

1) Does anyone know who this celebrity is? 2) Why is she so hairy? Seriously... Is this a result of anorexia?

This is AnnaSophia Robb, and girls faces have hair on them too. This is the ultimate worst angle and combo of light to show it off, but the majority of female faces have this much if not more hair. To have some hairs that are longer than others sporadically around the face is very common too. This is why girls feel so ugly all the time. Things we naturally have are laid out to make us feel like beasts on the internet and in magazines.

a symptom (spell fail?) of anorexia is indeed increased body hair so that the body can keep itself warm since it has no fat to do it

I`m guessing fake, two reasons, I know of no women who leave big facial hair, little fuzz yes.
*Points to chin and middle of sides*

Secondly the dark shaded area under the hair, should be the same color as the rest of her heavily makeup covered face. Even if this was real, that area would match in color, most women don`t over look such details.

Yeah... HD or not... that is way more hairy than normal. Although I`m sure there are very tiny hairs on my face that you can hardly see, I have never seen them in a picture of myself or even up close in the mirror. This girl has something extra going on.

It does look like the stuff anorexia causes, I can`t remember the name. I fail as a psych minor :P I don`t know who is though. Looked like 13 at first from House but I don`t think that is her.

Angilion, I don`t think Bexy Wexy is saying she could grow a beard if she wanted to. I suppose she`s saying she`s a little bit hairy, and sometimes she doesn`t feel like shaving her whole damned body just to feel like she`s not an ugly freak. And that her guy can just relax about it if he wants her to relax in turn about his scratchy beard, which is the only thing he`s expected to shave. And he likely does relax about it, if he`s a grown-up.

Also...to whoever said it might be a photo shopped chin...check out IMDB: AnnaSophia Robb...you can see it in other pictures too.

Sometimes that can be caused by a hormonal imbalance.

Either way...home-girl needs to take care of that; especially if she is having her photo taken on what looks like a red carpet.

A question for people who do depilate their legs:

Why doesn`t an electric shaver do the job?

I`ve wetshaved my legs, waxed them, used depilating creams and used an epilator (all out of curiosity when I was younger), but I never thought about using an electric shaver and I`m not going to try the quite expensive one I use for my face.

The cream was the easiest, but I ended up depilating my pubic hair as well and that was really itchy growing back. Wetshaving would have been no worse than doing my face and throat if I did it more often - the main problem was the volume of hair clogging the razor (I am very hairy). Waxing was fuss and bother, but didn`t hurt that much. The epilator did. I only did half a calf with that thing.
Women have hair, and if left long enough it will grow as long as say, men have on their legs, for example.
Not usually, it won`t. Just stop shaving your face and throat every day and see how long it takes you to grow a full beard (you won`t).

You do have to shave your face and throat daily, right? After all, you were very clear about shaving exactly as much as a man you`re going out with:
is always down to me saying to my other half when he starts to shave the same areas daily, and gets a good idea of how fluxing annoying it is (wax/shave/whatever) then I`ll do it for him too.
There are some women who grow hair as much as is normal for a man, but it`s uncommon and usually indicates a medical problem.

"and if left long enough it will grow as long as say, men have on their legs, for example."

This is VERY subjective, but generally, incorrect. Aside from the pubic region, women generally do not end up with as much terminal hair on any given spot on their body as men do. They`ll still have all the vellus hair we had as children at that spot, but vellus hair simply can`t get that long or thick.

Genetics and anything and everything which can affect your hormones are what makes this subjective.

@Angilion

Women have hair, and if left long enough it will grow as long as say, men have on their legs, for example. But the thing is, as is vastly proved on this thread alone, men don`t expect women to have any body/face hair, or find it bizarre when they`re shown a perfectly natural picture of a woman with it.

Sorry but I live in the real world of relationships whereby I`m not expected to conform myself to someone else`s ideal, and I apply that same formula right back at them. Hence why I find it acceptable, and I`ve not been corrected by any partners as yet, on the expectation of having hair free bodies.

I personally don`t find it nice to have really hairy legs for example, and I will shave myself before I get there, but I won`t shave on demand to "please" another person. Relationships go beyond that.

There is nothing wrong with a guy having body hair, just like there is nothing wrong with a gal having it too :P

It`s more a case of it someone expects me to have no hair all the time, and we`re talking things like leg hair etc, then they must be willing to do the same imo. Fair is fair :D

Don`t get me wrong, I`m not some hairy woman sat there with hair I could plait, but I shave when I want to, not on demand, or not as expected.

Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville - did not. The Grinch hated Christmas - the whole Christmas season. Now, please don`t ask why; no one quite knows the reason.
dude, a lot of girls have fine hair on their cheeks/chin/lips, it`s usually not that long but stare hard enough and you`d see it >>; made worse by a fine powder make-up.
Lighting, too. Face-on in moderate light and it probably wouldn`t show anywhere near as much. Assuming it hasn`t been shopped, of course.

Strange but true - adult humans have approximately the same number of hairs per square inch as chimpanzees. Much shorter and much thinner, but as many.

If you grow hair as much as is normal for a man, I suggest you seek medical advice.

Or is your "equality" not all that equal?

The skin is an incredible thing.
Believe it or not, skin actually has hair everywhere on it, some places they are just smaller than others.
You also have pores, and sweat ducts openings, and so on, tons of things on your skin.

I still agree that this phot is quite incredible though.
Its so rare to see a picture that wasnt airbrushed to mee unrealistic smoothness standards!

osiris it doesn`t matter how common it is, but the fact that it`s so easily fixed.

My thoughts on hair, no matter where it is, is always down to me saying to my other half when he starts to shave the same areas daily, and gets a good idea of how fluxing annoying it is (wax/shave/whatever) then I`ll do it for him too. A leg for a leg, and arm for an arm etc.

My last few bf`s have been pretty lucky in that they`ve been relatively hairfree. However I did have one that accepted that challenge, and gave up very quickly after trying waxing on his legs, and then trying to shave when he decided waxing was torture.

These are real women, people. Not the imaginary ladies that most men on the internet seem to lust after.

All blondes have this kinda hair it`s hard to notice IRL, this looks pretty bad though... think it`s shopped to exaggerate it. Anorexia does cause extra body hair to grow though.

Vellus hair. That`s it.

As an aside, eastsiderepp actually looked this up before adding his comment (Or the mod did) because Anorexia DOES cause an overabundance of vellus hair in adults. This isn`t an adult though.

This is AnnaSophia Robb. She`s 17 and eeevery girl has velous hair. Most girls don`t notice it because they wear make-up. Blond girls especially have it bad (for some reason). She`s probably wearing a powdered make-up, which is causing it to stand out. BFD.

carmium: "Though I must say, I`m not sure she had those few hairy ones this girl has under her chin and beside her mouth."

Those ones are known as whiskers. It`s generally said it`s menopausal women who have them, which is bullballs. I had them right from late teens. The reason why you generally don`t see them is they tend to curl a little when they grow long, or you generally don`t get so close and personal in the right light, or simply put, they`re tweezered out.

I`ve always tweezered mine, but never fussed over the slight down on parts of my face.

It`s a childhood thing. This celebrity is probably still very much a child. I forget what the scientific term for peach fuzz is, but it`s essentially "child-like body" hair then you have the normal "adult-like body" hair men and women get (asian`s are a special case here since maintaining child like features is a part of their genetics) throughout their arms/legs.

The childish body hair stays in ranom locations depending on gender and race.

@cajun247.....this isn`t peach fuzz, this is pre-beard hair.....I know I`m being a little critical with this, but I`ve never seen a female with this much hair on her face, if I was her I would be really self-concious about it, but good for her for seeming comfortable in her skin

Most women have hair on their face, but it`s so fine and "downy" that it`s not really noticed unless up close and very personal (arms, stomach, sometimes back and chest, face too). Just like you blokes come in many shades of hairiness from stubble to forrest, women do too. We`ve not yet evolved to be hairless yet :(

In the days of photoshopping via the media it`s more often disguised, and yes women do have hair removed from their face too. (other than teh `tash)

It can also be said that people with eating disorders such as Anorexia can have quite a "down" (Lanugo I believe) due to the fact that the skin is using it to keep warm, essentially. With Anorexics they tend to have it far more pronounced, and can be much longer than what is shown in that picture.

Ergo, facial hair/down is not a sign of Anorexia, but can be a side effect from Anorexia.
