what the original article was saying was that the earth isnt heating up at an abnormal rate. which is true. this is not the first global warming to ever happen. its just the first that we as a species have had to endure. sigh... it`s happening. but not because of us.

After reading some of the comments on the link, I`m sure the cons on I-A_B will predictably try to trash this article as well. You are entitled to your own opinions, but keep in mind that the one thing we have on our side is that if deniers are wrong, the consequences are much worse than if we are. Even if you don`t think pollution impacts our climate, why wouldn`t you still want to take every step possible to decrease pollution? That part just doesn`t make sense, and it`s just plain selfish.

Exactly what I thought would come to light with that bogus article. FWIW, I just worked a meeting at one of the largest companies involved in developing seeds and chemicals for improved crop yields worldwide. They specifically mentioned climate change as a major factor in the state (decline) of viable areas for food production throughout the world. It`s not a myth.

I`m not saying I disagree with the article, but isn`t the fact that he was wrong in the past and that he believes in intellegent design an ad hominem attack? By the same logic, one could say: "Newton was into some really crazy cults that believed in the supernatural. Because of this, Newtonian mechanics are wrong."

That`s pretty much what the author is saying: because this man was wrong in the past, he`s wrong now.

vv @Ender27 has said it all, well done!

The facts of the origional article aren`t in dispute, only this ONE particular interpritation. The fact that the AGW `models` were based on incorrect numbers because of this new finding (and because they`re faked to start with) is also true.

So if you can`t fight the truth, hide it!
And if you can`t hide the truth, attack anyone who dares to say it!

So someone who lies (climate scientists who disagree with climate hysterics are quite common, not "extremely few" as this article claims) asserts that a climate scientist`s model that shows more energy radiating is wrong.

Even if that is true, it does not mean that the models used as the basis for climate hysteria are right. Since we know there is solid evidence those models are themselves wrong, this whole article is irrelevant.

That is a lie. There is an increase of crop yields worldwide due to increased plant food in the air (carbon dioxide), as well as an increase in the area available for growing.

And we just watched a film about how a condom manufacturer let the college kids measure themselves.

Low and behold, the trojan magnum was then born.

Are we causing the warming? Who knows, but I do know this smells alot like the war on fast food.

NASA never claimed the earth wasn`t warming.

    Spencer implied they did.
5 Cats liked what he implied, didn`t bother reading the data himself, and outright lied by saying "NASA claims earth not warming".

It`s an outright lie, easily put into small minds, without having to tell the lie. You just imply it, and the small minds do your dirty work.

Get a grip world. Reality is we are going to heat up be it man or not. It has been shown to happen via geological evidence in the North Pole from samples taken samples four freaking times. Without the help of men alone!
This time even with men. Not a Mother F*cking thing anyone can do about it. Pollution or not the cause to stop the process until the cycles repeats again. Then it will be butt f*cking cold, and the glaciers will spread across the continents just like it did before. No one will be able to stop that either. It`s the life cycle of the planet. Quit the whining. Reality check it`s going to be that billions are going to die off.

There will be no Scientist to be the savior of planet earth period. It reminds me of how one person asked a local mayor to bomb the volcano to stop the lava flow. WTF!? You want to put a cork in it?

So, basically, people like Skullgrin won`t believe it until a biodome is made, and then intentionally fed carbon emissions and then the greenery reduced. And then, even after that, if the results are conclusive; `oh, no, that was a controlled environment and they made it do that. .`

I don`t think Global Warming is caused by us, it`s a natural cycle the Earth goes through every so often.

We should still do our best to stop pollution, not to ward off impending doom of the heat death of the planet, but it just makes everything better off for us.

No, I will believe it when these "thousands of scientists" can actually prove it. If it is because of us then there will be proof. So far there hasn`t been any....even with all of these people looking feverishly (get it) for it. The fact of the matter is that the real crisis is an oil shortage. Politicians invented the global warming hoax to scare people into looking for alternate fuels. Its as simple as that. That`s like saying thousands of scientists don`t believe in go, but there is no significant proof. An oil shortage is not going to drastically effect your world, (maybe the means by which you live) aside the fact that there is mass world war over it (oh, wait). c.. carbon into the atmosphere. Plugging your car in only piles on top of that. Earth is a living organism. Do you know what happens to your lungs when Carbon is introduced into that system? Have you seen a smoker`s lungs? Sure, Earth might not have been a heavy smoker until the last century, but it will take it`s toll.

There was a record heatwave here, it broke the high temp record from 1904.

Question: Was the heat in 1904 caused by AGW?
Answer: AGW is a myth, based on fake statistics.

@Baalthy: "...warming as fast as the AGW models predicted." But that`s too long eh? So it gets shortened. I`m not saying this guy is right, I AM saying the AGW model is still wrong, disregardless, and THAT is the truth!

Believing in intelligent design and trying to call it science shows one important thing about any "scientist:" He puts beliefs before evidence and facts. Which means his "science" needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Evolution is a scientifically observable fact. Intelligent design, as stated in the article, is glossed over creationism. It`s not science, it`s the red-headed step-child of what happens when someone tries to mix science and religion, two things that rarely, if ever, mix well.

Newton kept his beliefs out of his observations. He didn`t claim god was science, to him science was science and god was god. That`s why Newton`s credible, and this guy... Isn`t.

It`s like what happens when two people look at a sheet of data. Say (as an example) there`s an increase in people being struck by lightning: someone who looks at it objectively would want more data, want to do more experiments, and would want to come to a definitive answer if one exists before making any concrete decisions about the data.

Someone who puts beliefs first would come up with a conclusion he wants to be true, then perform the "science" that would get his result if he could.

It`s not exactly saying that this guy`s argument is WRONG, per se, but it does mean that you should take what he says vs. what many other more credible sources say with a grain of salt. It`s like asking someone with a history of losing bets who he would bet on in the next match.
