Link: Remember That Internet Explorer Story? It`s Bogus! - This should invalidate all that was said. But my guess is it won`t.

The fact that people actually believed intelligence was related to choice of web browser is the stupidest part. Most people don`t even think about what they`re using.

Makes sense. If you`re already dumb enough to use a Windows-based PC, Internet Explorer isn`t actually a bad idea. It tends to run faster than the alternatives due to the way in which some of its core components are built into the OS.

Fail counter: Me - 1 / IAB - 0. Damn, now I feel foolish for submitting this drat. At least I wasn`t alone in my belief, BBC, CNN, AND Forbes were with me on this.
Next time I`ll submit a compilation of golf cart fails. At least that`s funny. Sorry I-A-B!

the first clue it was bogus was the claim they had tested people for get an accurate idea of the ability of someone takes test administered by professionals, not something you do online. Has it ever occurred to anyone that the first thing they teach you in advertising is to compliment someone, and associate that compliment with your product?

i love how it was the readers of the news site, not the actual reporters, who did the research on this and found it to be bogus.
    THAT`s why journalism is failing

It`s also what Piers Morgan said.

He went from being a fired Daily Mail editor, to News of the World Editor, to his own talk show on US TV.

Yeah, but the point is Baalthazaq he`s got his own U.S. show.
Which means he`s no longer here.
Although even if he was over here it just gives Ian Hislop another excuse to tear him a new hole.
